pickI always enjoy the Sloan Krause mysteries, and even this short novella didn't disappoint! Sloan and Garrett are looking forward to the spring farmer's market and working on some collaborations with local businesses, a couple of infuencers, and the beer they brew at Nitro. When a visiting hiker dies at the local hostel, though, Sloan and Garrett help Chief Meyers figure out what happened.

pickJo (the one with muscle), Nessa (the one with intel), and Harriet (the one with secret weapons) won't back down when local officials refuse to believe a string of deaths of young women are anything more than drug overdoses, so they take on the task of looking into it themselves.

🎧 Austenland- finished, it was a great book to listen to while working on a puzzle!
pickJane Hayes has always been obsessed with Pride and Prejudice, and is looking for her Mr. Darcy. When her aunt passes away, she finds out that her aunt has left her a trip to an immersive Jane Austen-themed resort as part of her will. This was a very light, fun read!
I love the Sloan Krause mystery series, so this one set in the springtime at the spring farmer's market seems like the perfect book for April!

It was told in very short dual timelines and jumped back and forth a bit, which was sometimes hard to follow along with, which is what made it a so-so rather than a pick.

so-soI probably would have bailed on this one if it wasn't my seasonal cozy pick. It seems like the story was a bit unnecessarily drawn out, and didn't have as much to do with the theme of St. Patrick's Day as I thought it would. Probably not a series I would read any more of.
