This is the 8th book in the Pendergast series. In this one, there is an evil artifact, a cruise ship that is about to crash and Pendergast to save the day. Loved it 🧡

#TemptingTitles #WithMoney I haven‘t read this one yet, but considering just how much I loved The Queen‘s Gambit, I definitely should. @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

EclecticBookLover That‘s a cool cover! That‘s actually the sequel to The Hustler. I have only seen the movies of both and while Color of Money can stand on its own, the story has more impact if you know what happened in the movies. Highly recommend both movies. Excellent job by Paul Newman as Fast Eddie Felson. (edited) 12mo

Not as brilliant as the other one I read... I almost bailed but actually, the last few chapters redeemed itself.

Prepping dinner and starting this one.
I read her previous a few tears ago and was awestruck by the writing. Really hope this is good!

Late night run to Barnes & Noble last night so my son could get the new Chainsaw Man manga. I almost made it out of there empty handed but the Buy 1 Get 1 sale got me!

EclecticBookLover Love the cover for The Hustler! 2y

It‘s hard to believe that the author of this series also wrote Our Only May Amelia, a book that was probably the worst I‘ve read in the last few months. I own all of the Sunny books except for this one, and I‘ve enjoyed them all. By the time I finished this one, it had me thinking that it was summer and not midwinter! 4.5⭐️

megnews I love this series. Have you read any by Shannon Hale? 2y
Zoe-h @megnews I read the first two, but I wasn‘t that into them. I liked the first the best, though. 2y
mandarchy My favorite book by her is Turtle in Paradise. I started to think she was a genius while reading that series. 2y

Lily Dale: Connecting | Wendy Corsi Staub

In the third installment of this YA Lily Dale series, Calla is coming to terms with who she is and slowly unravelling the secret of her mother's death. At the same time she juggles boys and friends and family.
I really like the overall story going on, but the way its told is repitive. Having read other books by Staub, it almost feels like she is "dumbing down" this series. I enjoy it enough to read the next book.
