All Systems Red | Martha Wells

I love when a story reaches that point where the writer has won my total trust. Then it‘s just waiting to see if they can stick the landing. This is one of those times.

I‘ve listened almost entirely to the score from “Tron: Legacy” while reading this novella, and it‘s been a perfect fit.

Sorcerer to the Crown: A Sorcerer Royal Novel | Zen Cho

So far, the biggest challenge in reading Sorcerer to the Crown is a common issue with fantasy novels. There are SO MANY NAMES. Still, I‘m really digging Zen Cho‘s world building. She‘s done a nice job easing me into the rules of this world and the mechanics/politics of its magic. Looking forward to seeing where the story is going. Been listening to Beethoven‘s “Moonlight Sonata,” and it‘s been a nice fit. #fantasy #magic #readingmusic #ERMadLibs

BillBlume @Ruri_kaichou I‘m just about 15% into it. It took a bit to adjust to the writing style (not a book suited to be read while reading other books, I think). Had to lookup quite a few words to figure out what they mean. All the names get me very lost, though. 6y

rwmg Magic Strings is the life of a fictional rock star so the sound track is his songs and songs of real musicians who influenced him, while Year of the Flood's sound track is the song book of God's Gardeners, a cult in the book. 6y
