Day 4: #scaredme. So I hadn't been really scared by any of his new books in recent years. And this one came along and I honestly wasn't looooving it. It was just ok for me until I got to that ending. Boy, that ending scared the bejeezus out of me. Had nightmares about it and everything (which hadn't happened maybe since I read It as a teenager). Very good scary ending, Mr King. You still have it in you. #stephenking17

I'm so sorry I was not around today to comment on all your amazing #stephenking17 posts. I was partaking in bridesmaid duties all day. You guys had amazing #scaredme posts today, so here's mine! Misery scared me because, at it's core, it's a story about a reader and her devotion to a character. We can all relate to that. As for the other depravities that fill this book, I sincerely hope that you do not relate to that. ALSO: that cover! WTF
Well after this latest reread I can definitely say that The Shining is my #alltimefavorite King novel. Everything about this novel was perfection to me. The relationship and dynamics between Jack, Wendy and Danny were so complex. This also #scaredme! Legit nightmares. #stephenking17
