I have no idea why this took me so long to read. I listened to the audio to get the physical book off my self 😂 The audio was great. Engaging and intriguing. I lost focus in a few parts where the text wandered a bit, but overall absolutely lovely. Here‘s to breaking out of a slump!

zezeki I read this last year after having it on my TBR for years, and I had so much fun reading it! 1w
mcctrish I read this ages ago and it was/is a favourite of mine 1w
mcctrish Also I have embraced the listening to books on my shelves to clear my death tower TBR 1w

BethM @mcctrish it‘s the only hope I have 😂it‘s already going to outlive me lol 1w
tpixie @mcctrish yes! I‘ve started listening to books on my shelf as well. I‘ve also thought about taking photos of the books and then giving away some of them that I think I‘ll audiobook, but haven‘t done that yet 1w
mcctrish @tpixie if I don‘t love it, it‘s not staying in my house ( damn pandemic for getting me doubly hooked on buying books 😆) 1w
tpixie @mcctrish yes! Once they are read, they go! Unless they are really special! 7d

Possibly unpopular opinion, I wasn‘t impressed. I finished with hopes of getting interested. I know it‘s magical and fantasy however I just couldn‘t see it. It was a little beyond what could be possible for me. The basis works she just doesn‘t execute it well. Some of the story felt forced and odd. There were things that weren‘t needed as well.
I can see why it was/is a popular book. I personally don‘t care for it and won‘t continue the series.

DGRachel Her writing just doesn‘t work for me. I‘ve tried several of her novels and I don‘t think I‘ve even managed to finish one. 3mo

Spring weather is finally here!! This evening I'm starting Ninth House for #authoramonth while I munch on some aged cheddar cheese on baguette with a side of olives. I'm not really sure if I'll like this book - horror just isn't for me - but I'm going to give it a try.

willaful I'm not much for horror and I really loved it. 5mo

Always great to have a map!

My son toured the campus when looking at universities because Yale was heavily recruiting him. Fortunately he stayed closer to home, albeit still two states away. So this map made me think of him. Missing him a lot but will see him in one week when his spring break starts

I always enjoy a little mystery with my historical romance, although I didn‘t quite feel the chemistry between the two main characters.

Okay read but I'm just not into this sort of book. Not a horror fan. I also kept thinking it copied a movie I'd seen about Skull and Bones (which I also didn't really enjoy very much).

PuddleJumper Just about to start this. I'm not a massive horror fan so I'll see how it goes! 10mo

I bought this book years ago to read at the airport. Sadly, I lost the copy, and the hope is ever find such a unique book ever again. Yet, with luck, I got to reread it! Cantero is a genius. Characters encounter the traditional haunted house inherited. Including visions and those who locate the original instances. Codexes and Help (a good doggo). An epistolary novel to reread for details. Unfolds like the secrets of what is beyond.
