This week's Novellas in November prompt ties in perfectly with Nonfiction November! Here are my recommendations for some short nonfiction reads, ranging from 28 to 160 pages. (Click link in bio for the full post.)

For Novellas in November this week, I have some contemporary fiction recommendations (snuck in some sci-fi, too). Visit my blog (link in bio) for the full post! #NovNov #Novellas #Fiction #ContemporaryFiction #SciFi #ShortBooks
Gonna read this one as I flip through Monsters of Men! Let's see how this one attacks the very important subject matter of self-harm. I'll let you know my thoughts as soon as I finish! 📚

"There's been an accident!" thinks the ghost - is she a ghost? Is she really dead? Is something after the Melford sisters - and which sister is she? This is a delight, spooky and realistic at the same time, with ancient forces, blood magic, all the drama of sibling relationships and parents you will love to hate (seriously they are the WORST). Plus the backdrop of British countryside and an all-boys boarding school. #sbksept #shortbooks #readathon
A stack of #shortbooks for #30daysofreadathon I haven't read any of them but I'm starting to pull for October reading and 4 out of 5 will fill the bill nicely!
Day 29: #shortbooks
My 12yo's collection of her favorite author, Kate DiCamillo.

I wish I knew who recommended this to me, or how I found it! Little (indie!) books like these are a treasured favorite of mine. This is set in 1920s St Paul (that's Minnesota, don't'cha know), and is such a delightful little diary of Coco's life. The last 20 or so pages are full of photographs from her life and the time, and a brief family biography.
I think I need to check the publisher website and see what's new! (U of MN Press)

This is a short book that I highly recommend. ❤️
