A longing to be free and live a life she chooses, becomes a life no one will remember. Magical, haunting and heartbreaking, Addie was easy to root for, and though it was perhaps a little long.... I loved snuggling up with this novel and being lost in its pages. Just perfect for the season.... #slumpbuster

I loved this. I enjoyed the lyrical writing and the story made me want to cook and to eat. Finished it while gardening and immediately downloaded the sequel. I hope it‘s as good. Also started The House We Grew Up In yesterday and both books have a character named Rory. I‘m enjoying that one too. #audiogardening #slumpbuster

Had a bit of a reading slump this month, but a re-read of the tagged book for a bookclub ended up being the perfect #slumpbuster !

I read a couple of fantastic cookbooks, and also really liked The Girl on the Page, a gift from a lovely Litten...

Favorite new-to-me fiction read was the 5⭐️ ‘The Nickel Boys‘ by Colson Whitehead.... I‘m looking forward to discussing it at the B&N bookclub I‘ll be hosting on August 13th....📚💕
