This is a re-read book stardust by Neil gainman.
Let me explain ever since finding audio books I have been listening to book's I once didn't like, take classics for instance I have listened to Beawulf, 39 steps and loads of poetry I once didn't like or understand.

DrexEdit @Andrew65 terrific film! 😊 5y
DrexEdit I'll bet poetry would be great on audio. I always have trouble reading poetry, but I love to hear it read aloud! 5y
kaysworld1 @DrexEdit I'm the same as soon as I got on the band wagon for audio I started with poetry and I loved it so I went back through my read but quit book's and listened to some now I listen to anything and everything poetry. I avoided audio because I always vowed I would never cheat on paper books and I didn't get on well with my Kindle! Lol 5y

Of course this is a pick. I enjoyed this the first time around, but admittedly fell asleep in the middle a bit. I wasn‘t feeling well at the time. I got to hear the whole thing this time and greatly enjoyed it, even more than the first time. I also saw the movie between reads, so I also had that to compare. Of course I recommend all Gaiman, so that‘s no surprise here. 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

GingerAntics I also greatly enjoyed the interview about Stardust at the end of this audiobook. It was also a lovely distraction from the constant coverage of the Little League World Series (don‘t get me wrong, I love baseball, but not constantly). #NeilGaiman #Stardust #LLWS #audiobook #baseball #escape #distraction 5y
ShelfRighteous Gaiman is my favourite. I dont know how he imagines the stories, but they magical. I felt like this story was going nowhere at the beginning but the end was good anyway❤ 5y
readinginthedark I love this movie! Really need to read the book someday. 5y

Enjoying this gem for a second time because I seem to not recall some stuff in the middle. I‘ve seen the movie since I read this the first time. Nothing like a good #audiobook to start your days.

My book came out yesterday. I had such fun writing the jaded, blunt, feisty Valerie and even more fun pairing her up with the clueless, fun-loving Ranthrop. It's selfish, really--writing your own fairytales, but hey, a girl can dream can't she?

rjsthumbelina Wow. I LOVE that quote 6y
MotionChickness Reading the quotes you‘re posting is giving me goosebumps 😂 I think this will be a reread this year! Such a great read ✨ 6y
GingerAntics @Stephuhhnieee I‘m thinking this is a book I‘m going to want or need to own, personally. I‘ve always loved space and I was always good at physics, so that may have something to do with it. 6y
MotionChickness @GingerAntics Yesss! Just said that in another comment to you 😂 It is a little treasure in its own. I felt it was easy to listen to since I have solid knowledge of space... but at the same time I learned so much more. He did good at crunching it all into a small book. 6y
GingerAntics @Stephuhhnieee his chapters aren‘t massive and intimidating lengths either, so it‘s very easy to digest it all. I‘m not even sure how to start going about making notes on this lovely book, but I‘m loving every minute of it. 6y

#TimbitTunes Day 17: In this book, we are #Starboy and Stargirl alike. This book stands on its own with its exquisite detailing of how every human being consists of tiny atoms that “came from a star that exploded long before you were born.” It is a lyrical reminder of how we are all intrinsically linked to nature – from the sea of our mother‘s womb to the ocean within our veins. My review: https://wp.me/pDlzr-c08

Cinfhen I love this concept 🦸‍♂️🦹🏽‍♀️🦹🏼‍♂️🦸🏼‍♀️but somehow the lyrics are buzzing in my brain and they aren‘t as kid friendly 👇🏼

How many miles to Babylon?
Four score miles and ten.
Can I get there by candlelight?
There and back again.
Yes, if your heels are nimble and light,
You can get there by candlelight.

Finishing the year with a bit of Stardust

5🌟 Just finished this one. It took me a while to get into it, but that could have been my own restlessness about entirely unrelated things in life. I loved the characters and the story. I‘d love to read it, now that I‘ve listened to it. I definitely recommend this for a fun little fairytale for grownups.
