I have a lot more closure after this book. I'm #StillWithHer, but even I felt like there was so much I wanted to know about her. I'm not saying I had a right to this very personal memoir, but I do think that if a version of this had been pubbed before Nov 2016, there could have been a lot more swinging in her direction. She owns her mistakes, but I'm unclear on why HER team didn't investigate the email policy at State right away.

Lipsnlashes28 Completely agree with you. I just finished the audiobook yesterday. 2y
Prairiegirl_reading I‘ve had this on hold on Libby since March 3! Still waiting 😕. Now that I feel like I can actually handle it the waiting is getting annoying already! Lol! 2y
RaimeyGallant @Prairiegirl_reading Are you in Winnipeg? I'm returning it to Libby right now lol. 2y

🎧 Listening to more of #WhatHappened this morning and I had to stop to create this graphic and share it with you. To keep from tearing up😢, I had to balance this heartfelt quote with with her awesome wardrobe. 👩🏼‍💼 No one else can rock a colorful pantsuit quite like #HRC. I just love her. 😍 I love her poise, her eloquent words, her strength, and her awesome pantsuit collection. 🙌🏼 #imwithher 💙#imstillwithher #feminist #nastywoman 🙋🏻‍♀️

Andrea313 I just love her, too, and am so happy when other people voice their support. ❤ 2y
Jess7 Absolutely! You should have seen me during the campaign. I convinced my husband who is usually apathetic about politics to watch every debate with me, and on Election Day it was a proud moment for me when we both cast our votes for the first female US presidential candidate. My Facebook status that day was “Excited to witness history today. #imwithher ..” Unfortunately what happened later wasn‘t the history I was hoping for. @Andrea313 (edited) 2y
SexyCajun I listened to the audiobook and LOVED IT!!!! 2y

Vansa Didn't want to read the book because it was just too sad!! I love the graphic, super cool ! 2y
SleepyDragon Pantsuit rainbow. Hope your graphic goes viral. 2y
Jess7 Someone else created the rainbow and but I added to the quote :-) @NeesyBeth 🤗🤗 2y
sprainedbrain Like you, I haven‘t been ready for this book... My hold finally came in for the audiobook, so it may be time. #imstillwithher 2y
RidgewayGirl I love her and enjoyed hearing her tell the story in her own voice. #StillWithHer 2y

This was, as expected, bittersweet. I thought Hillary did a great job exploring the election in a methodical, well thought out way, and I appreciated her point of view. There was an ache in my chest for most of this book, thinking about what could (should?) have been. But it also felt strangely therapeutic to finally listen to it, especially amidst her continued optimism in the face of an experience that would have beaten most. #stillwithher

KarenUK Thats exactly how I felt too👍💕 (edited) 2y
rachelk I cried a few times while reading it. I think she is the most beleaguered figure in modern politics. 2y

Powerful and heartbreaking. Even, fair, honest. I can‘t help but imagine what if. This smart, spiritual, hard working woman would have brought so much to so many but she eloquently reminds us that it is our turn now to stand up, be heard, and take care of each other. Thanks Hillary. #stillwithher #resistreads

Christine Great review. Agreed on all counts. :) 2y

“She‘s unstable. I think in a few months‘ time the country will be ready for a new leadership. And the people here trust me. If I were to say that you are the right woman for the job....”

What do you think of Allie entrusting Roxy with the presidency of Bessapara?

Is there a woman in real life (politician, celebrity, activist or otherwise) who you‘d entrust with such a role and do some good with it? #ThePowerBuddyRead

Redwritinghood Well, Clinton probably could have done so. Not sure about Roxy - she‘s smart but also a little too ruthless. 2y
mrozzz @Redwritinghood #stillwithher but agreed, Roxy doesn‘t seem focused enough but it also seemed like Allie just wants a figurehead anyway 2y
shendrix413 I think Roxy would be a dangerous choice! But yea, ❤️Hillary is still my girl 2y

AmyG I agree @mrozzz in that I think Allie wanted a figurehead. 2y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa I love the Hillary love here. (You really have no idea how great it is to see from the middle of Trumplandia), but yes I think her, and Elizabeth Warren have showed themselves to be pretty dogged fighters for underdogs with some empathy for others. Otherswise, some who have shown great empathy in other areas, maybe Oprah? But yes, she picked Roxy because of their friendship more then anything, but then again Roxy did show competency at running... 2y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa ..a huge complex ‘business‘, she showed empathy with her father, and even she had a heart for those in the current underclass...Allie didn‘t like the way the current President treated her men and Roxy wouldn‘t have let the refugee thing play out the way it did if she had her powers...so maybe I‘m not giving her enough leadership credit when I think she‘s a bit too harsh for the job. She‘d at least be fair, fairer than many in this book apparently 2y
mrozzz It would definitely be interesting to see what Oprah would do if she were in charge! @Riveted_Reader_Melissa I also think that Roxy doesn‘t have the mature focus required of a competent leader— but Allie just needs someone she can control and never intended Roxy to actually be a decisive leader 2y
riversong153 @Riveted_Reader_Melissa Roxy is not balanced enough to be a president. If she were I doubt she‘d follow what Allie wants her to do. She seems like the type who would not want to be a figurehead. She‘s unstable and way too violent. (edited) 2y

This was an emotional read for me; more than I expected it to be. I mostly enjoyed the behind the scenes of her life on the campaign trail. I appreciate how she takes responsibility and I admire her strength. #stillwithher #keepgoing #nonfictionchallenge17

L_auren Can‘t bring myself to read this. I may have to wait until we have a new president-elect 2y
CoffeeK8 I started to read this right when it came out and it was too soon, but I can‘t wait to read it 2y
LadyRuthven I want to read this for history's sake and I am curious to hear her side of things but I feel its still too close to the events to not feel like propaganda for me. I will probably read after we get a new president and the emotions have died down. She does deserve to have her story told. She has done a lot for women in politics. 2y

NatalieR @L_auren @CoffeeK8 @LadyRuthven Ladies, I completely understand! I‘m shocked she was able to put this book together so soon. There were times for me it emotionally felt too soon to be reading it. It‘s a good book. I recommend it when you‘re ready. 🙂 2y
kspenmoll I am thinking it might be a good audio book. Thoughts? 2y
NatalieR @kspenmoll Definitely! Read by the author made it a great experience. 2y
kspenmoll @NatalieR Thanks! I will get audio version when ready to listen. (edited) 2y
