The blob!!! An all-consuming creature, reduced to no kind of identity beyond it's hunger. This made me think of Madame Defarge from A Tale of Two Cities, with her insatiable desire for revenge, writing out the names of those to be killed in her knitting. It also works for Sweeney Todd, plus he has the pies to boot (though he doesn't eat them), but I have a particular liking for Madame Defarge. 😉😈 #monstermadness2017 #theblob

Okay, so I DEFINITELY broke the rules with this one..._Monster Blood_ is obviously about monsters, but this is one of the first things I thought of when I thought of #theblob! I think I might have a _Goosebumps_ book ABOUT The Blob, but that seemed a little on the nose.

#MonsterMadness2017 #day6 #TheBlob Today's characteristics are Hungry, All Consuming & Hates The Cold. This describes the "Hivers" in this series to a T. Hivers are an alien species that are insect like, they send out Queens on large ships with attendants, they then wipe out all life on a planet before landing & consuming everything. They hunger for more space, and the only thing that slows them is cold. Like insects they need warmth to survive.?

Continuing in my comic book vein, someone who is hungry and all-consuming is Galactus, who consumes world's with no regards to anyone or anything.
