I finished #TheDarkestMinds on Saturday. A bit disappointed, mostly because of the main character Ruby. Now I‘m reading The Song of Achilles and it‘s absolutely gorgeous and so heartbreaking 😫🔥.

I really enjoy Alexandria Bracken writing and her storylines, I really enjoyed this book. It was fast paced enough to keep me engaged throughout the story, at the same time there was just enough internal battles as well.
I would def recommend to those that enjoy the dystopian plot line.

pickI am surprised that I liked this book as much as I did. To be honest I‘m not blown away, but I did enjoy reading this. I‘m realizing more and more that it takes a lot for me to be surprised by plot twists and the same applies here. That being said, I enjoyed the story and the characters felt more original than I initially gave them credit for. It will interesting to see how the movie goes #thedarkestminds
Enjoying this, despite several proofreading mistakes I‘m surprised were missed in the editing process. The book is technically due back at the library today so I‘m using the most of my sick day to read and prep for Dungeons and Dragons #thedarkestminds

This book was really good! It took me so long to read only because of how busy I‘ve been, but once I started reading, I couldn‘t stop! Ruby was a great main character, and I loved that it was first person POV. The story was interesting enough—I‘m always a sucker for superpowers. My only issue was the romantic subplot, it just didn‘t really work for me. If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
