Did you guys see #TheUnreadShelf monthly prompts for 2023? This year, instead of doing mini challenges, it‘s all about mood reads based on set feelings. Some are going to be harder than others, so I‘m interested to see how people interpret them. ENOUGH is going to be a fun one…. Maybe I‘ll plan to read a chunkster, so when I finish it I can say “Well, that‘s enough of that”. 😂

P.S. Oscar Meyer says hello! 🖤

Bklover Love the prompts! 1y
Librariana I did see that she had changed them for this coming year! 😊 I don't know that I'll necessarily participate in this format/manner, but I do so appreciate how her challenge has helped me decrease my number of unread books. Plus! I love seeing how each year I participate, the number in my little #unreadshelfproject tag increases! More books switching each year from unread to read 😁 1y
GondorGirl This is a fascinating idea! I might have to participate simply because of the novelty of the prompts. 1y
Mccall0113 Omg. Oscar. 💚😍 1y

Well, I read and unshelved a lot of books in August... but I also acquired a good chunk. Therefore my #UnreadShelf only went down by 11 this month. 😆 Maybe I‘ll get down to 450 by the new year? I doubt it though. 😂😂

Littlewolf1 This is a great idea 4y
slategreyskies You actually had two months when you acquired zero new books!? That made me laugh! So cool to see your TBR stats like this! :) 4y
jb72 Still good! I‘m thinking of unshelving a few this year too. 4y

Whoops! I was hoping to get this number down to 450 this month, but thanks to my shopping spree yesterday I didn‘t quite make it🙈

Re-evaluated my goal, and I‘m now hoping to get my shelves down to 400 by the end of the year. Still can‘t believe my progress so far! I started off the year with 523. #theunreadshelf

Bookwormjillk That‘s great! 4y

I‘m slowly making a proper dent in my unread book count! Hoping to get this number to 440 by the end of May🤞🏻

RainyDayReading You can do it! I‘ve been following along with #theunreadshelf project but I‘ve been too embarrassed by my amount of unread books to fill out the little graphic 🙈 maybe next year I can. 4y
Clwojick I wasn‘t brave enough to include my unread ebooks or audiobooks🙈 I figured if I stuck with the physical books only, I would be less intimidated @RainyDayReading 4y

hes7 Impressive progress! 4y
coffees whats the unread shelf? 4y
Clwojick @crimson613 the idea is to challenge yourself to lower the number of unread books on your shelf. About 90% of my books are unread, but I have a habit of mood reading or listening to audiobooks that are completely new to me. 😅 4y
Clwojick @crimson613 if you search #theunreadshelfproject on Instagram she has a whole profile dedicated to the challenge. 4y
coffees @Clwojick ohhh nice, will do!! 4y

Pickpick

Again, not the best James Patterson book... but still worth the read. I‘m still giving it a pick, since I think I‘m just a tad underwhelmed from reading too many Patterson books back to back. Onto something else for my next book. #theunreadshelf

#JanuaryRecap #FebruaryTBR

I finished 3 books off #theunreadshelf this month, with another 2 in progress. 1 is scheduled in February for #ReadWithTBRCrew, but I‘m sure something will make its way into the pile for February!

I usually try to get to the end of every book as quickly as possible so I can start the next one. However, I enjoyed taking my time with this book. The Sisters Blythe were quirky and relatable. Edith and her mom also were great in how they demonstrated how the ripples of a tragedy could effect more than just the immediate players.
