#wdncw it finally feels like fall in northwest MD. That means time to bring on soup season & cozy, comforting meals. I am also learning how to make bread from scratch (have you seen the cost for a loaf of French bread, at Wegmans it‘s almost $4).

This book can engage students on a discussion of rights and wrongs and engagement with the theme of “curiosity killed the cat“.
Picturebook. This story uses small boxes of illustrations to show scene progression throughout the story. The wavy lines of the noodles slowly creep in to take up more and more space in the book as the pot bubbles up. The warm, faded colors represent a classic, well-loved story.

Read these to Jace just in time for #foodandlit and St. Patrick‘s Day. The tagged book was really funny, and the one about St. Patrick himself was very informative for a children‘s book. Thanks for the recommendations @TheBookHippie ! 🤗

Jace & I read these for #foodandlit this month. Strega Nona is set in Italy for #Jubilee - and the others are all set in The Netherlands. Strega Nona was very cute, and I also really liked The Hero of Little Street, which has no words but is quite the adventure when a little boy gets sucked into a 17th century painting in Holland. 🇮🇹🇳🇱

It‘s here! My #JolabokaflodSwap pkg has arrived. I still don‘t know who the sender is and that adds to the surprise. @MaleficentBookDragon Thank you for organizing!
“All right, Anthony, you wanted pasta from my magic pasta pot,” Strega Nona said, “and I want to sleep in my little bed tonight. So start eat.”
