I started this fourth installment of #ARipThroughTimeSeries while on the plane to Edinburgh! Though little of this one actually takes place in the city (our cast heads north for the titular Highlands wedding introducing some new characters & naturally, a new murder to solve!), I still really enjoyed this #VacationRead! Armstrong is really stretching out the central romance with the will-they/won‘t-they & I already can‘t wait for book number 5!

JenlovesJT47 I‘m on the hold list for this for 9 weeks 😭😭😭 3d
TorieStorieS @JenlovesJT47 Oh man!! I wish I could loan you my copy but that‘s the major downside of Kindles!! It‘s worth the wait though! 3d
JenlovesJT47 I love the audiobooks in this series so I‘m waiting for that. Have been looking for an ereader copy on Anna‘s Archive for months but still no luck yet. 3d
TorieStorieS @JenlovesJT47 I think it only officially came out yesterday, so that may be why! 🤷‍♀️ I haven‘t listened to any of them, but I imagine the accents are fun?? 3d

I just went on vacation and saw so many people reading this book that I got curious and had to pick it up. Seems like a promising read! #vacationread

My first #VacationRead in front of my vacation book purchases! I loved Cronin‘s Passage trilogy so I was really excited to dive into this one! This dystopian/sci fi thriller took me a little bit to get into, but with cinematic flair and some real surprises to the story, I definitely enjoyed this one! The ending left me wanting a bit more though I think this one will give readers a lot to discuss! Can‘t wait to see what he writes next!

Exactly what I expected!!! Three college friends embark on a cruise to the #Bahamas where old secrets are revealed and new discoveries are made. Lacked depth and very predictable but an easy breezy #vacationread 🚢☀️#ReadingTheAmericas
I bought this for $2.19 on #BookOutlet and I feel that‘s about right -

Cinfhen I sent this one your way too @Megabooks xxx Box should be arriving today 🤞🏼 2y
Librarybelle That does look like a perfect vacation read! 2y
BarbaraBB That seems perfect for your stay in FL too! 2y
Megabooks @Cinfhen oh fun!! I could use a good beach read during these blah winter months. Thank you!!! 💕💜 2y

A cute story, if somewhat predictable. Old codger and young girl discover the meaning of life together and build a found family in a small town. In this one, the old codger is a bookstore owner on a small island in the Northeast somewhere, which makes it the perfect #vacationread or #beachread. Easy reading, interesting characters, fast-paced.

OutAndAbout Just watched the movie. It stayed very true to the story, although much of Maya‘s storyline was eliminated which made me sad. Glad I read it first so I could fill in the blanks. Very tender story still and worth watching. 3y

My last #vacationread as I‘m headed home today.

If America offered reparations in the form of 40 acres and a mule, but they are on the sea floor and you have to get body modifications in order to become a merman or mermaid… strange and haunting, as racism can‘t even be escaped when leaving life on land.

This is from the Black Stars stories, published by Amazon, the third of 6.

My second #vacationread, and I thought it was excellent. It works for #Nigeria for #readingafrica.

Adunni is a 14 year old Nigerian girl who grew up in a small village. Her mom passed away and her alcoholic father disregards the promise he made and sells Adunni into a marriage with a much older man as a third wife. That‘s just the beginning.

Adunni‘s strong spirit and her wish to do good for her country will stay with me. All the TW though.

I threw out my reading plans to read this fun, new cozy mystery series. When part of the mob family takes over an event venue, to run legitimately, you know there has to be some interesting things happening! For Mia, her first gig working for her father turns into a disaster when someone is found murdered. Recipes at the end sound delicious! I‘ll happily continue the series, though major editing issues throughout the book did give me pause.

Librarybelle And, because I started this on a day that was supposed to be a vacation day but wasn‘t completely (thanks to world events), I‘m calling this a #VacationRead for #BBRC #YeahBaby . Besides, cozy mysteries are perfect vacation reads! @LibrarianRyan @StayCurious 5y
