I was going to rate “The Wild Huntress” higher, however I wasn‘t a fan of the betrayal, a certain character‘s unnecessary death, and the overall ending of this story. I appreciated the epilogue and the last chapter, however I wish the plot had turned out differently.

Starting my morning with coffee, raisin toast, & an easy peasy book. I have let go of the why & just accepted that non demanding reading is what I can cope with at the moment.

My knowledge of Welsh is sufficient to help me appreciate the beauty of the poetry. I don‘t know enough to pick out many words (maybe I would have done a tiny bit better with modern Welsh), but it was fun to recognize a word here and there! Mostly I enjoyed the earliest known reference to King Arthur.

This is another one that leaves me feeling completely inadequate. I don't know where to even begin to express the scope of the story or the impact it has had on me. I urge anyone that enjoys historical fiction, multi-generational storytelling, and having your heart torn from your chest to read it immediately.
Five HUGE stars.
It wrecked me.
Read it.

Reading this book on Christmas Eve has been a family tradition for as long as I can remember. My dad would read it to me when I was a kid.
It‘s a beautiful little story, and I love it, and the movie adaptation. 🩵
