#ItTakesAllKinds #WithLawyer Still on my TBR. Darrow left the relatively normal career as a railroad lawyer to defend people most at the time would consider undesirables . Most would have heard of him as the lawyer defending John Scopes , the infamous monkey trial , about the teaching of evolution.

This book I just finished this week fits today‘s #ItTakesAllKinds prompt #WithLawyer as one of the MCs., Adrian, is a lawyer. It also includes an elderly chihuahua, a baby & the other MC, Vanessa, an influencer/vlog star. With this book, I‘ve now finished both Abby Jimenez‘s series & I‘m a bit sad because these are such sweet, heartfelt rom-com books but with some depth & poignancy. She makes me both chuckle & cry.💛

DebinHawaii @CatLass007 Hah! I did in fact Google “Baby with elderly chihuahua!” 🤣🤣🤣 They have pretty long waiting lists—it took me a while to work through each 3-book series (in order because I must) but it was worth it! (edited) 1y

CatLass007 Absolutely series should be read in order! I already have reached the 20 hold max, so I just created a tag to remind myself to put in a hold on a book when one of my holds comes in. If you like Rom-Coms, I‘d like to recommend Hello, Stranger by Katherine Center. I listened to the audiobook last year and I loved it. And I‘m pretty picky about Rom-Coms. 1y

CatLass007 I tend to avoid Rom-Coms. I don‘t think most of the movies that bear that tag are very good (Pretty Woman? So not good.). And I generally feel the same way about Rom-Com books. I think part of it is that I‘ve aged out of the age range for the genre. Not completely, but… the story has to be well written and interesting. 1y
