Not a bitter orange but grapefruit sold by local FFA kids. I look forward to it every winter and citrus makes me think of Christmas time. The book has 3 characters dealing with self doubt and inner fantasy life. They are all very well described. And I felt like I was living at Lyntons with them for a little while. Maybe not such a good place to be.🙀

I keep picking this one up and putting it down. It‘s really good and pulls me into their cozy world but keep getting teased away by thrillers overdrive keeps suggesting to me.

1. Hanging out with Jo and the sisters would be a fun way to quarantine. Dressing up, reading, playing music in that place and time.
2. Taking walks even on these cold days. Listening to a book podcast, or music or just thinking.

This thanksgiving weekend perfect for reading, eating, and not moving much. I love the scenes in the snow storm. The story is ok. There are some parts that don‘t make sense, but I kept going til the end to find out who dunnit. Abrupt ending!🥶

As crazy as Joe is, he loves being crazy. And it‘s a tense, scary, funny? story. On to the Netflix series. Probably not as good as the book. Give this one 4 💔💔💔💔.

Multiple takeovers, changes in ownership and money making schemes are bad news for glass manufacturing workers at Anchor Hocking glass in Lancaster, Ohio. And bad for Lancaster. The loss of good paying jobs is compared by the author to the increase in drug use and hopelessness.

Catching up on rating some recent reads. Didn‘t want this one to end. And it ended the way I was afraid it would. Klara is a memorable character in many ways.🤖

Just read this one, and Klara and the Sun. Both are 5 star. Love the delicate placement of each word. Will seek out and read all of this author!🥰

I found this one through my overdrive/ kindle. Meant to be suspenseful, a thriller? I got where the author was trying to go but.. problematic main character, she comes off as immature. Lots of lackluster reveals. I was annoyed by writing and style but did finish it. Barely.

These two books both take different paths for a large choice in life. Should we stay is done well and pretty funny. I‘m worn out by Rose Napolitano by the end of her life story.

Yeaaa it feels like I walked into spring after work today!!! This book was all over the place, but there are a few moments of encouragement to cherish the little things.

I like the girl Little Bee and love this cover, but was irritated by the character of Sara. Couldn‘t get past her and shallow romance. 😟

This book was so full of detail, I feel like I know sea biscuit and war admiral and all the people involved in care feeding and racing. Vacation reading #1

Just realized I can‘t take a picture of “my one device” with my one device. Hmmm. This book about the invention and production of the iPhone is written with humor and touches on the changes in the world that came with it. A picture of Ethel instead😺

Many litsy comments about the story Haunting of Hill House made me run to the library and check out this one. It also has her short stories.

Just finished this one to get to the end!...I wish there was a rating between "pick" and " so so". There's a lot to like! I like weird characters and murder and teenage discomfort. But ending ?. Ethel agrees.?. #catsoflitsy

A quick afternoon read. Creeping myself out reading about weird feelings, doors slamming in the middle of the night, and actual ghost sightings in old houses on Nantucket. Peter Benchley was reported to have a ghost experience and one thing leads to another have been looking stuff up about Jaws. Nothing to do with pumpkins but it's fall!😎
