The book hit home for me. My husband has been stepping out on me for the last two years with a series of partners. This book shows infidelity in a closer light. This shows people trying to work it out and how love changes and matures over time. Great book. Would highly recommend

MicheleinPhilly I'm so sorry you're having to deal with that. Litsy hugs! ❤️❤️❤️ 8y

BookishFeminist ❤️❤️❤️ sending hugs and love. So sorry you have been going through this. You must feel exhausted and heartbroken. If you ever want more reading on it, Cheryl Strayed has several pieces on this topic in her book 8y

EvieBee It's terrible that these betrayals are so common today, isn't it? I'm so sorry you went through that, and hope that things improve. Thinking of you, Eve. 8y

I loved this book. Eileen embodies the thoughts that we have had one time or another regarding our body image. At times I thought I was reading the day to day activities of Patrick Bateman 5/5

This book was wonderful but a little predictable. Rio changes her name when she is released from a detention center for stabbing a fellow class mate. She leaves Japan and immigrants to the US to start a new life. She is haunted by her past and has to relive it when her father passes. If their are parts of your self that you have locked away then you will be able to relate to Rio.

Semi predictable. When the murder occurred I already felt like I knew who was behind it. I feel like I have watched too many years of Law and Order for mystery novels. 🖖🏻🖖🏻🖖🏻🖖🏻🖖🏻

I wanted to love this book. But I just couldn't. The content was dark and interesting, I wanted to hear more about the conditions. It was a little too dream-like for me.

I am a home health nurse and this weekend was hard. I would get into my car and listen to this book. It made it difficult to get out and see the next one patient.

bookishkai Thank you for all you do! Home health nurses were my mother's saving grace in my dad's last year. 8y
LauraBeth Sorry to hear you had a tough weekend 💚 8y
Wife Reese Witherspoon did an excellent job reading this. 8y

After a crappy day at work and a weekend of not feeling well it is nice to feel like I have finished something. Loved this book. I loved Kate's sarcasm and the simplicity of the story. I liked the ending as well, giving the reader a glimpse into the future. Would highly recommend

I liked this book. I loved the character development, the genuine flow of the book, and the comparison of generations issues and different stages in their lives. Great summer read. On to darker things~Lucid

I give it 4.5/5. I loved the concept, the plot, and the time setting of the story. I felt Hannah's character was just a mirror for all the other characters of the book. I was routing for her and I wanted her to have more of her own personality.

I enjoyed parts of this collection of essays. I have to say this was the is first collection I have ever attempted to read. My main struggle was her diabetes diagnosis, I felt it was over played at times after her first mention of a chronic illness. Very empowering for women though.

IndyHannaJones His stuff can be hit or miss with me. I loved Luka and the Fire of Life, but couldn't get into some of his other stuff. I definitely want to check this out. 8y

I FINALLY finished this novel. I struggled after the first part. It was redeeming toward the end. My main problem with the book was simplistic versions of each character.
I think I just wanted more from the ensemble.

The Crow Girl | Erik Axl Sund

Read 200 pages and Had to pause. The violence and dark nature feels a little nonchalant. I am enjoying the book but I have a feeling I will be reading it in spurts. It will give me time to digest.
