I bought this book on a whim, and it‘s taken a long time for me to pick it up. But wow I was engrossed from the beginning. A very clever story. I now need to read his back catalogue!
Having lunch with my better half @Hufflepuffle after buying a couple of books form Waterstones. ‘The colour of magic‘ - Terry Pratchcett and ‘Strange practice‘- Vivian Shaw.
A lovely day with the in-laws having a very slow cooked BBQ, in the lovely weather. Think someone has had too much sun!
This was a ‘bloody‘ good book. I am loving the series but am gutted there is only 2 more left. I haven‘t read a Dexter book that I didn‘t get engrossed in and didn‘t want to end. Well done Jeff Lindsay!
I have to hold a paw while I read tonight!
Watching ‘SAS: Who dares wins‘ got me really intrigued into this person, he comes across as such a grounded person. Reading this book makes you realise why. I loved his sorry and the lessons really make you think. Brilliant!
So I had a great experience today! I work in a school and today we had a Careers Fair. I got to meet an American NASA Astronaut in training. An amazing lady called Mindy Howard. Very inspirational. I‘m not sure who was more excited, me or the students. 👩🏻🚀
My little reading partner!
Love to wake up to a full snowy day, work closed and I can have a lovely day at home.
Really good read, it‘s not something I would normally read, but I‘m glad I did. Really thought provoking, seeing how life was back in the 1930 in in the Deep South of America. I enjoyed the fact my voice changed to American I‘m my head ( as a British person I‘m sure the accent was way off), showed me I really got into it. It‘s definitely a thinker about Race, Gender and Morals.
Does anyone know why I have reference sticker in my book?
I loved this book. Excellent character development, the choice of villain (Hugo Drax) worked so well and the idea of the Moonraker was awesome. Ian Fleming never fails to bring Bond to life on each page.
