The Book Thief…just WOW! It is so good! Death is the narrator, the place is Germany, the main character is a girl of communist parents, her story in Nazi Germany about living in WWII with a Jewish friend plus neighbors around her, and her love for reading!

It‘s different but so are the characters and the ways of life we don‘t discuss. I enjoyed it. I think it shows that we all struggle with insecurities and some form of discrimination along of own life path. You can let it define you or choose to overcome it.We are all different (there‘s beauty in that) but yet the same.

This book left me thinking about it for days! I couldn‘t read another book for about a week! The twists and characters were amazing. You will have a fav character but Henry was mine. It‘s unique with the start of murder, swirls in Ancient Greece and completed mystery with strange rituals. I‘ve almost read all the Donna Tartt books but this one is my pick!

Great story! Mysterious at first about characters, the reader just falls in love with her obituary work and empathy with what influenced it. During a time of grief, a person needs another human who really listens and provides emotional and physical support. The main character provided a outlet for grief and a way of closure for herself and others. Loved this book!

A most read during these crazy times! Highly recommend braised pork in dark beer with potato mash for dinner and a lot of candles then a cozy blanket and good book:) If you quilt, it creates Hygge environment. If you don‘t quilt, it‘s easy to learn (YouTube), a great hobby for all ages and anxiety reducer.

A perfect example of historical fiction! This story (along with the character) is leaving an impression on me. Reminds me that no matter your confined circumstances...live life, don‘t dwell on negatives, give kindness, look at details, and appreciate the simple things. Wow! Amor Towles is one fab author!
