You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me. C.S. Lewis Book friends…I really need some new books to read but no profanity. Thanks in advance for your help:)
Speechless! It‘s one of those thrillers that messes with your mind for a few days.
Amazing read and much respect to the author for sharing her story and excellent literary work!
Starting this one and on chap 3…so far I like the characters and wondering where this story is going.
The Book Thief…just WOW! It is so good! Death is the narrator, the place is Germany, the main character is a girl of communist parents, her story in Nazi Germany about living in WWII with a Jewish friend plus neighbors around her, and her love for reading!
A shocking twisted ending….finished it and was sad.
I‘m on a Lisa Jewell marathon read. Starting this one! Each book is a mystery about one or a few particular people then a twist ending.
It‘s different but so are the characters and the ways of life we don‘t discuss. I enjoyed it. I think it shows that we all struggle with insecurities and some form of discrimination along of own life path. You can let it define you or choose to overcome it.We are all different (there‘s beauty in that) but yet the same.
7% into the book and I love it! I can see the person or personality through her writings, style and mood setting. Collection of magazine stories from over the years…brilliant. She‘s good:)
This book left me thinking about it for days! I couldn‘t read another book for about a week! The twists and characters were amazing. You will have a fav character but Henry was mine. It‘s unique with the start of murder, swirls in Ancient Greece and completed mystery with strange rituals. I‘ve almost read all the Donna Tartt books but this one is my pick!
Great story! Mysterious at first about characters, the reader just falls in love with her obituary work and empathy with what influenced it. During a time of grief, a person needs another human who really listens and provides emotional and physical support. The main character provided a outlet for grief and a way of closure for herself and others. Loved this book!
A most read during these crazy times! Highly recommend braised pork in dark beer with potato mash for dinner and a lot of candles then a cozy blanket and good book:) If you quilt, it creates Hygge environment. If you don‘t quilt, it‘s easy to learn (YouTube), a great hobby for all ages and anxiety reducer.
Fantastic book! It‘s full of history and the story between the characters does twist and turn which keeps your full attention.
I started reading this book. I just wanted a light read and murder mystery.
While I‘m recuperating from surgery, I‘m starting another book on audible...great recommendation from a book friend.
Eyelids are swollen from surgery so using audible and getting caught up on recommendations
Reading a new book about ghosts, special “gifted” abilities and time travel:)
Started this jewel! This fictional yet historical novel gives us an idea of Madame Tussaud‘s life. Very interesting 🧐
A perfect example of historical fiction! This story (along with the character) is leaving an impression on me. Reminds me that no matter your confined circumstances...live life, don‘t dwell on negatives, give kindness, look at details, and appreciate the simple things. Wow! Amor Towles is one fab author!
Starting today...sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction😳 I need a little supernatural sci-fi action to make it through this virus.
Starting this one today🤗
Awesome book...don‘t believe the negative reviews! ❤️ the mystery, love story and magical mermaids!
Love it so far! We all have been a little bit of a stalker or a bit psycho over an ex lover! Lol. No one ever wants to admit it.
Starting today...a little Christmas break or vacay reading list!
It seemed to drag on and on but the ending was a shock.
Great plot! Suspense until the end, but it does seem too long.
Wow! A suspenseful, intriguing plot! The "who done it" was constantly changing and was mind-blowing at the end. My new favorite Christie book! The murderer thought he had fooled Poirot, but as usual Poirot had fooled him.
