I loved this book and hope that it gets made into a movie. I laughed, I cried, so, so good!

I couldn‘t take it anymore with the annoying female protagonist and the boring male protagonist in Love Your Life by Sophie Kinsella. After bailing on that one, I started this tonight.

Downloaded this from my local library a couple of days ago. While I‘m a bit burnt out on the Shopaholic series, I still enjoy Sophie Kinsella‘s stand alone books.

Really enjoyed the first book in the Snow Globe Shop mystery series. I had a couple of things figured out early on, but that didn‘t impact how much I liked the book.

In chapter 10 the glass shatters in Tamlin‘s study. Did he do that or did Feyre? I know she made the shield that protected her from it, but I‘m not clear on who caused it. #acourtofmistandfury #acomaf #acotar #sarahjmaas

bethanybee My understanding is that Tamlin did it, and was terrified so she created the shield due to that fear. 4y

Another #24B4Monday Readathon is done. I finished one book, started another and managed to get 58% of it read. I had an ending total of 9 hours and 42 minutes, which is a little over an hour more than what I read last month.

Another #24B4Monday #readathon is over. I completed one book and started another. Managed a total of 8 hours and 32 minutes of reading this go around. Considering all that I had going on, I‘m happy with that number. #acourtofthornsandroses #theheiraffair

Scochrane26 I haven‘t ever reached 24 hrs unless the readathon has an extra day. 4y
Ladyval05 I really just use readathons as a little extra motivation (and an excuse) to get more reading done. I don‘t know that I will ever get 24 hours completed. 4y

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Two hours of reading today and I finished the book. This puts me at 8 hours for the #24B4Monday #readathon . Now to decide what‘s next and hoping I can get 4 more hours of reading done.

It‘s time again for the #24B4Monday #Readathon. I haven‘t attempted a readathon in a while, but my schedule is better geared this time to participate and not completely fail in my efforts. Right now between chapters I‘m fitting in chores, but I‘ve managed to complete my first hour of 24, reading A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas. I‘ve been enjoying this retelling of Beauty and the Beast and hope to finish it this weekend. 🕐📚

Absolutely loved the latest book in the Return to Willoughby Close series!! Welcome Me to Willoughby Close dropped 08/18/20, and even though I preordered it, I had to finish a couple of other books first. I finally started it the night before last and had to read it every possible moment. I love it when books pull me in like that! The next book is being released in November and I have already preordered it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Low tech reading tonight. 😆 Does anyone still use book weights? I‘ve had this one for forever. Comes in handy when I‘m trying to eat and read while the ceiling fan is on blowing things around.

wanderinglynn I use my phone as a book weight. 😂 4y
AkashaVampie I've never seen one before. I dont read physical books. Ebooks or audiobooks for me. 4y
Ladyval05 @wanderinglynn I use my phone in a pinch, but it becomes a distraction if it‘s close by. 4y
Scochrane26 I didn‘t know book weights existed. I use my phone or remote to weigh a page down, but the weights are prob a lot better. 4y
Ladyval05 @Scochrane26 I‘ve tried both of those and they don‘t work as well as the weight for me. They‘re either too slippery, not heavy enough, or in the case of the phone, too distracting. You can find book weights on Amazon if you ever decide to check into it. 4y

I don‘t even know how to begin to review this book. The main character was unlikable, the writing was terrible... I thought about DNFing this book multiple times. It marginally improved in the last third of the story, but it was not enough to give the next book in the series a chance.

A few weeks ago I won a flash giveaway by Krista Davis. Today was the first opportunity I had to pick it up from where I had it delivered. I won an ARC of her new book, The Diva Spices It Up, which is going to be released on April 28th. She included a handwritten note and some promotional bookmarks. My favorite is that she autographed it!! 😍 Now to get started on this series.

During the Stay At Home mandate that is currently in place I have been working on a cross stitch project. I started listening to Christmas Shopaholic this morning. I seriously thought about not bothering with this one, but since I‘ve made it to this point, I feel like I need to follow the books to their conclusion.

Throughly enjoyed this! The premise had me hook, line and sinker. An American, whose life is going nowhere has a series of events that propels her to go to England to visit the location of a Downton Abbey-esque television show. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️‘s for a great escape!

Started this last night. It‘s the third book in the Lonely Hearts Bookshop series. 💖

Birdsong28 Its such a good series, have only read the first two myself. I don't know about you but the cover on the last one would confuse people who don't know the series as it's a completely different title! 5y
Ladyval05 @Birdsong28 so far book three is as good as the first two. I noticed that about the title of the fourth book. When I first saw it on the Goodreads series page I thought it was in the wrong spot! 😁 5y

I forgot to post this last night. ⭐️⭐️/5. I‘m not going to say that this is a bad book. As I mentioned on a previous post, 66% was audiobook and I had a hard time staying focused on it. When I picked up the ebook, I enjoyed it much more. It‘s probably something that I should re-read, but that will be a long while before that happens. I have too many other books that I want to get to.

This was available on my library‘s Libby account, so I‘m back to Circe. I made it through 66% of the audiobook when the loan for it expired. I‘m hoping that by changing the format it will make the book more enjoyable for me. I have loved Greek mythology since I was a little girl, and I kept seeing great reviews for this book. Sadly, I was kind of underwhelmed with the audiobook, but I have a hard time staying focused on them.

My first finish of 2020! This is the third book in the Stalking Jack The Ripper series. While I did enjoy it, I had a hard time getting into it at the beginning. I can‘t pinpoint what it was that didn‘t draw me in immediately like the first two books did. So, if you start it and struggle a bit, keep reading because it does get better. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
