Today I prepared slime ingredients for a Halloween Slime program for 80 kids tomorrow. So much glitter. Should be fun. Wish me luck. 😬

The fortune I received today during lunch break with a coworker. She thought I was making it up. 😁📚
Late post.

The cringe you just can‘t help when you get the audiobook for a series you‘re reading and you hear the names said out loud and they‘re different then how you had pronounced them in your head. 😖 But still, good series.
Getting ready for a spooky Halloween with my new background at work. Can‘t wait to put up a Halloween display. 😬😈💀🎃🕸🕷
In an effort to get back on pace with my reading challenge, I‘ve picked up a couple of graphic novels I‘ve had my eye on in the stacks. Just started American Vampire today, and I‘m really liking it so far.
Arrived in the mail today. Is there any better feeling than getting a free book? 😁 Review coming soon.
Finally starting this series after hearing about it so much from our younger patrons.
Next up for my book club. We enjoyed ‘The Darkest Minds‘ so much that we‘ve decided to just continue the series.
I made our Banned Books Week display this year and actually got it up early. 😁
It‘s that time of year again. Panera‘s Turkey Chili (its back!) and Hocus Pocus mean Fall. 😁🎃🍁
When you find phrases and words that strike you.
Had a phone call with a mentor and we spoke about the disconnect between generations. How one is waiting for the other to retire, and the other wants to continue controlling the situation.
Had another conversation about borders.
This is why books are important. They have a very real relevance to our lives and situations. They open our minds and foster discussions.

Blast from the past. Books 1-6 of Harry Potter on CASSETTE TAPES donated. I wanted to take them and have asked a few friends but none of us has a cassette player. Hoping they go to a good home. 😅📚📻 #manifeelold #kidsaskingwhattheseare
Reading, family, and maybe hitting up the B&N sale?? ??

Watched this twice this weekend while I was sick. Loved it! Nice, light-hearted movie. Already put holds on all 3 books in the series. 😁💗🎬📖
Had to clean out my old car since I got a new one and these are the finds: books I ‘rescued‘ from donation piles, library books, bag from a library conference, Katniss Mockingjay funko I also rescued, a bingo set I‘m donating for lib programs, water bottles, and a Marvel calendar. Am I too predictable as a Librarian? 🤔
Early morning book discussions while getting ready for work because it could not wait! Finished the series last night and could not contain my thoughts and emotions. Thankfully I have bookish friends who understand and answer me while they‘re at work. 😅
Listening to some great authors speaking about their works at #SLJTeenLive today. Significantly adding to my TBR pile. Also, here‘s a look at my messy desk. Who says Librarians don‘t love a little chaos? 😏
Who knew one of my Librarian duties would include making an ‘Emergency!‘ run to Walmart because we were out of creamer. The Librarians cannot function without their coffee. And yes, that is a lot of creamer but I was just following orders. 😋☕️
The joys of Interlibrary loans on my bank account. 😁 The Steel Brothers series by Helen Hardt is a very intense series but also very well written. Sadly I couldn‘t finish 4 books in one night, so these two will have to wait for a bit while I try to hurry and catch up. 😅
