Reading my new book! Here in Holland is a heat wave ahead! How's the weather in your country?
Good news!
I participated in a Dutch writing competition and today there was announced that I am on the longlist! The longlist contains the best 23 stories out of 67 and I am super proud!
In two days the shortlist with the best 5 stories will come online and out of that 5, a winner will be chosen.
I am already super amazed by the fact that my story is on the longlist so whether I will be on the shortlist or not, I am proud! 🥳❤️
Today is a beautiful day to be at the beach and read. I worked on my latest story earlier this morining and soon it's time to prepare the rhythmic gymnastics classes I will teach next week!
But first things first. Reading first!

#letterB
For the second day of this game, I chose Boy 7, from Mirjan Mous. I read this book a few years ago and found it very thrilling at the time!

The #letterA was from yesterdat but I decided to join this challenge a bit later! 😅
The letter A reminds me of my most recent finished book Amari and the Night Brothers from B. B Alston.
In this grey and boring weather, I saw my chance to finish and send my latest story for a monthly writing competition! Fingers crossed! 🤞
Now it's time to go get my book and read myself through this rainy day!
Currently reading this book by the German writer Jana Hoch. I normally do not read horse books but I want to give this one a try. Someone out there who read this book as well? (maybe not in Dutch but ok) I still dont know how I feel about the story for so far.. 🤔
Current activity: Writing❤️❤️
I love writing, especially now in the summertime when I feel more relaxed than in the busy schoollife. 🙈
Oh and, is it weird to laugh when reading your own writings?
Guilty 🤣
Okay, I have a question for my fellow literature lovers:
I am writing a poem but I had some trouble finding a title.
I came up with a title but there is already a book with the same title.
Do you think that is a problem or should I just use the title if I like it?
Let me know down below! ⬇️
Thanks!! ❤️
I made this drawing of a passage from the book Amari and the Night Brothers from B. B. Alston. I loved the passage in which Agent Fiona empowers Amari. It really feels like a switch in the mindset of the main character. 🥺🙈
I just finished bingeing this book. I wasn't sure if I would like it because of Amari telling the story from her perspective but after a while it felt natural to connect to the story in that way.
Near the end of the book, I felt like a lot was still to happen. The story had a nice pace and took me by the hand but I felt like the ending could have been longer to deepen the ending.
Still, I loved this book and its semi open ending.
Would recommend!
