Love a good crime novel! If you‘re squeamish, give it a miss. 😱

Not my cup of tea, but ok. Small town crowd, sporting teams, small minds.

Set during WW1 and post WW2, a tale of heroic women with a dash of romance and drama.

Eleanor is a beautiful character who has had a very tragic life. I loved her funny ways and that she doesn‘t care what others think. She is just delightful, albeit a bit bonkers! Sad, funny and touching - a lovely novel. I definitely recommend this book.

Leigh_Medeiros Love this book cover! 2y

I really enjoyed Celeste Ng‘s debut novel. For me it shows how our thoughts and emotions can be influenced so strongly by others - parents, siblings, schoolmates.

The story of two sisters in rural Tasmania, spanning 70 years - their mercurial relationship and life struggles. An enjoyable read.

An average read - this book has been rated quite well but it was just ok for me. The premise for a great thriller is definitely there, unfortunately it didn‘t reach it‘s potential.

Totally loved this mystery crime set in Ireland. Cormac Reilly is a young Garda when he is called to an unexpected crime scene. Twenty years down the track we pick up his career and a new connection to the original call out. Looking forward to the next Cormac Reilly compelling case. 9/10!

A well written thriller. I‘d recommend this book if you enjoyed The Woman in Cabin 10 or Gone Girl.

Struggled through to the end, I‘m not sure why, lol. I didn‘t find it witty or funny, just a boring diary of someone working in retail.

The four siblings are likeable but they seemed hell bent on sabotaging their successful selves which was frustrating to read. I mostly enjoyed it and rate it 3.5 stars.

Totally enjoyed this entertaining tale of Zoe, a recently widowed artist from LA, and Martin, a messily divorced Brit, who are both making the trek through parts of France and Spain on the Camino. Loved the characters, places they visited and lessons along the way.

Emotive, moving and superbly written. I found a little slow in places - 3.5.

Wow! Really enjoying this memoir from Rayya Elias. Born in Syria, moved with family to Michigan when 8 and NY (most likely elsewhere but I‘m only beginning her journey)- a life on the margins. Unfortunately Rayya recently passed away. Much loved partner of Elizabeth Gilbert. #memoir #writer #filmmaker
