Ever since Hannibal Lector I have an empty spot.. nothing could ever replace him nor could I ever find someone quite like him.. that is until I found Timothy Blake.. if you‘re a fan Thomas Harris books surrounding Hannibal Lector then you might want to read this. I devoured book #1 (Hangman) and now I need to read the whole series.

WOW, a wild ride I wasn't expecting!! Timothy Blake had a rough start to life and finds himself as an FBI consultant. However, he's also a cannibal who gets rewarded with death row inmates to "dispose" of. He finds himself in deep with a new case that takes him to places he doesn't expect to find himself.
Such a creative story, INCREDIBLE narration!

So I'm listening to a book about a cannibal who has cut a deal with a local police department to help solve crimes in turn for death row inmates... 🤔 LOL, not sure how this is going to go but it's not horrific yet!

Slightly weird reading about a cannibal but he's a great character and it was a really good story. Will definitely be reading the next book in the series

I found most of this book engaging and the writing was good but the seedier side of the main character, yes I mean the cannibalism, turned my stomach. The storyline was excellent and the constant twists were confounding but I just couldn‘t get past the human flesh in the freezer. Not for me I‘m afraid.

In a bit of a book slump. Been jumping around for awhile now. I blame work. 😅

So this book is Dexter-ish with the addition of cannibalism - ummmm nope! I would have really enjoyed the book except for that. If that doesn't bother you I think you'll really like this book but for me it was too gross.

The description of this book says that the main character helps the FBI finding kidnapped victims, but every time he saves a life he takes one. I was thinking something along the lines of Dexter. Instead, this took a hard left turn into some really dark territory. Very very interesting and unique antihero for sure. I didn't pick up the clues to solve the mystery, but in the end I don't think there were a ton. I did enjoy the ride.

WTH did I just read? I meant to order Hangman by Daniel Cole from the library and ordered this one instead. OMG what a trip!!! Not squeamish but there were parts. 🤢🤮That being said, I actually liked it. Smart, fast paced, and gripping. Will definitely read this author again.

Wowie! A creepy good read! Think Dexter meets Hannibal Lecter! Yes, not for everyone due to subject matter (violence, cannibalism) but a great thriller/mystery with a lovable—though totally flawed—main character. If you can stomach it, a roller-coaster of a ride!
