This book was incredibly sad. Her suffering was so unnecessary. Jennette's story is so painful and yet beautifully written. For her to be under 10 years old and beg to not be an actor and to be forced into it, sad. A mother who encouraged an eating disorder, I will never understand. I loved hating this book. I'm glad that she has learned to stand up for herself. 💔

But, but..... the ending... 😑

JenlovesJT47 Totally unpopular opinion but I hated this book! 😬 Maybe I would like it better on a reread but I am so not motivated to do that anytime soon. 3y
ToniSwinehart6 @JenlovesJT47 I cannot say that I am a fan, was it horrible? No. It just wasn't what I thought. Honestly, there was a lot of profound quotes and things. I did enjoy the beginning of the book though. I will say some of it was scary close to how things are feeling today with some things. 3y

I loved the show, which inspired to buy the books. I canNOT believe how different they are. I was mad at the first book for a while but I've since moved on and I am loving the differences now. Dearly devoted Dexter has to help track down a serial killer that has advanced military training. Its an intense ride and the victim descriptions are a little hard to swallow but such a good storyline. 4/5 ⭐

All about the FBI profile program development. This book is a bit more dry than I am used to and seems to jump around from story to story. I thoroughly enjoy true crime so getting to hear it straight from the original profiler himself is quite cool. It is a well written book and very informative. I wish we got to here a little more about the killers themselves but still a good read. I enjoyed the Netflix special maybe a little more.

Going back into the fire. The losses of life in this book is felt hard. Be prepared to be sad. A good ending to a good series. Who will win? Evil or Hope? Others or Humans? Maybe both in their own ways? Don't lose hope and always have faith in love. I enjoyed finding out who the last star was...

This book was a lovely story of a grandmother and grandaughter's relationship. New discoveries and strength that were never known until after it was too late to truly appreciate. Sara was charged with caring for and upgrading her grandmothers pride and joy. She finally learns to live a little while discovering her grandma, Mags life and why she was so quirky. She finds herself and true love on this new chapter in her life. 4/5⭐

A cute read about young love and our potential to be whatever we want. I love that Hassan and Colin went on a roadtrip and found exactly what they needed, when they needed it. Lindsey Lee Wells and Mama took them in, gave them jobs and a chance to discover themselves. 3.5/5⭐

I started the TV series first, decided to give the books a try. They're so different I still don't know if I like the book, one of the very few times I think the show may be better. Jeff Lindsay's descriptions of the moon always entertain me, he has an interesting way of writing, I like it just different than I've read before. Less gore and murder than I expected. 7 more books to determine my favorite , for now I will give it a 2.5⭐/5.

Graduating and finally about to take their first steps as adults but can't seem to figure out their way "together". But love always pulls through, maybe not as we hoped. Lara Jean stays true to herself throughout this series. I love the way thet Peter K and Large love each other. I was hoping we would get a little more of step into their adult relationship. But a sweet ending to a cute series.

Oh teenage angst! Really takes me back to the days of high school and being the typical high school girl only worried about who, what, where and why the boyfriend is, whatever...
Lara Jean discovers herself in this book a little more and I really have hope that she will flourish with her new found confidence and all-in love. This is such a cute, sweet love story and just enough bad luck to keep it interesting and quite entertaining.

I saw the movie first and I loved it. It really goes really well with the book, such a rare gift! Lara Jean is a sweet innocent Junior, who found herself in sticky situation. She falls for the the guy she thought she couldn't. A charmer for sure, Pete begins a fake relationship with a quirky, cute girl he kissed in middle school so they can both "save face". Lara Jean learns how a relationship is supposed to work, and kind of fails big time.

This book was by far the largest. They each have a sweet little lesson in them. The lesson I took away from this one is, there is real evil in this world and to defeat it you must not feed it.
Gabriel's mom, Claire never stopped, she truly loved her son. Gabe is the baby that escaped in The Giver with Jonas, Claire has looked for him, fought for him, trained for him. Strong and brave she fought her way to her son, the roller coaster is worth it.

I had some ideas about this book before I started it. Well, I was wrong on every one of them. A lovely story of finding yourself, love and learning to grow in spite of what happens to you. Poor Maddy could have had such a different life, such a sad and yet somehow sweet story. I will not give it away, but when I finally figured out what was going on I was very sad for Miss Maddy and all the things she hasn't done. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

My head is still spinning from all the surprises in this book. Alina and Mal on yet another adventure/mission, this time to find the last amplifier to make Alina strong enough to save Ravka. My heart ached for Nicholai and even Mal, though Mal was still a little dramatic. It definitely improved the story and I love that Leigh incorporated some real science in this story too! A lot of death in this one, so prepare your heart.

I DID NOT want to read this book. As an assignment for work, I did. About 25% through I found myself applying this book to my life. Looking at how I treat others and what I am really doing when I decide to not be helpful or decide that another should do something because I think they're lazy and they need to get busy. I am trying to remind myself of the lessons learned in this book. There is really no way to explain it well, read it, its worth it.

What an adventure! So unpredictable, engaging, I didn't want to put this one down! Kaz Brekker is the ultimate bad guy hero, his wit, sarcasm & charm & all his secrets make him irresistable.. Kaz and his crew on this impossible heist, & are opposites in the best way possible, & always seem to come out on top. But even the best can get be defeated. This story has enough twists in it to keep you guessing, and you definitely won't see the end coming.

An annoying scientist, Levine thought the possibility of a lost world, of dinosaurs could exist. There have been several reports of odd, large lizard-like creatures that are being found, and immediately destroyed by the government. This has put in motion Levine and his team of scientist (including Malcolm) to search, find and study this mystery untouched by extinction. Once found, the island is a crazy, thrilling ride. Not everyone gets out alive!

Oh how I love Thomas and Audrey Rose, this was another amazing read. I feel the first 2 books were a little more "on the edge of your seat" kind of read, but this one still keeps you guessing. I never had a get on with it moment, its an easy read that keeps you glued to the pages. Audrey Rose experiencing her doubts the relationship was a little hard for me, but I completely understood the draw in the sneaking magician. Looking forward to book 4.

I love retellings, and this was a good Alice in Wonderland inspired book. I had a hard time rating the book only because I wanted more if the story with Gwen and Pete. I enjoyed the Maddox and Alyssa characters, all the trials they went through to try and end the disease that is killing them all, but I feel like I needed more Gwen and Pete and their love story. I did enjoy the interest that was arising from poor Duchess Alyssa, but now off to Oz.

Life isn't meant to be fair, my dear. A fair is where you go to buy cotton candy, enjoy carnival rides, and pet smelly goats. Life on the other hand, is often filled with the unexpected. Sometimes the cards we are dealt cause us to have to shift our own anticipated direction. And other time fate deals us a hand that we are pleasantly thankful for.

Of course all great movies come from great books, I will say I was somewhat disappointed the action didn't start as quickly in the book. I kept bracing myself and then it went on about counting eggs, etc. I had a hard time following Malcolm on all his mathematical tangents, I found myself googling a lot in this book (dinosaurs mostly, I needed visuals), I learned a lot more than I thought possible on this type of book.
