I cannot believe that Anna's story ends like that! Theseus, his mom, and the town of Thunder Bay make for the most terrifying and utterly mesmerizing story I have read this year!

I'm very excited to start this book after reading All These Bodies! And the gloomy, overcast, rainy weather (and Law & Order: Criminal Intent in the background) is the perfect setting for a ghost story day

This gut-wrenching story is so raw and real and genuinely beautiful and honest and stunning and lovely. I am bad at articulating words. This book, Emory and Joey's stories, have taken all of my breaths away.

Let me start by saying I am a complete chicken; I cannot read/watch/hear scary horror things. Next: This book was thrilling & full of unsuspecting twists. I now believe in creatures that roam the night with vigilance. This story terrified me to my core with something raw, tangible, & completely human. Many times I found myself a little too on edge. This book & Marie's story swallowed me whole, and I am in awe of this story & its beautiful telling.

I have a book coming in this week that I preordered a few months back and am extremely excited for (You'd Be Home Now by Kathleen Glasgow) but ever since I finished Please Do Not Ask For Mercy this book was "screaming" to be read! Does anyone else look through their shelves and hear little book voices calling "read me next read me next!" or is it just me? ?????

A thrilling, intense, sci-fi, mystifying, radically different detective story that I have ever had the pleasure of reading! This book was written extremely well, humorous and enthralling until the very end! 💯✌🏻💜

My next book is: Please Do Not Ask For Mercy As A Refusal Often Offends by Paul Bassett Davies! Who became an immediate favorite author after reading his book Dead Writers In Rehab. His style and humor is witty, smart, and beautiful. I'm only on chapter two so far, but I already adore this book ♡

I have fallen in love with Kathleen Glasgow and her words and her characters and their lives all over again. I adore Tiger Tolliver and Cake and Thaddeus and all the other misfits and good-looking, good-smelling, girl and boy bugs. This story will always be a favorite and I urge anyone and everyone to pick up this and any and every story Kathleen Glasgow writes. 💜✌🏻
