Oh my. Heartbreaking story of a teen trying to survive losing her Mom. Job well done by the author. I teared up many times. Very accurate account of grief and trying to learn to live with it.

JennyM @Freespirit it‘s a very striking cover. I was trying to make myself feel less sad while reading this by having a cuppa ☕️ It didn‘t really work 😢 (edited) 5mo

JennyM @BooknerdsLife it does read very YA, but the topic is so heartbreaking it got me hard! Get the tissues! 4mo
BooknerdsLife @JennyM I think that‘s exactly why it would get the mom in us all heart broken 😭 Haha thanks for the tip 💜🙌🏼 I cry easily over books so always have a box ready 😅 4mo

Urghhhh.....
It wasn't until well over half way through until I got past the feeling that I was wasting my life reading this book.
Teenage girl experiences a sad and life altering event, and we all get to feel her pain.
I'm sure there will be some people for whom this book will give language to their feelings and help them feel seen and known, but for me it was just urghhh.....

This book was devastating. Kathleen Glasgow really took you inside Tiger‘s head and made you feel all the pain and grief she was feeling. It was extremely well written and compelling. All the characters leapt off the pages.

I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

RebL She‘s my neighbor! I appreciate how insightful she is with young readers. She‘s a wonderful advocate. 8mo

#2019Book14
Almost every chapter in this book made me cry. In fact, I almost couldn‘t finish it because I couldn‘t see the words through my tears. If you‘ve lost someone you love or want to understand the grief of a friend or family member, then you have to read this book.
