If the book was a lot like the end of it.. I think I would have liked it more. This was just okay for me. It wasn‘t the worst but I also wasnt picking it up every chance I got to devour it. I am glad it stopped at two and was happy with the ending.

"I think I killed a girl who looked like this once. Yeah. Her name was Emily Danagger. She'd been murdered in her early teens, by a contractor working on her parents' house. Her body was stuffed into the attic wall and plastered over."

Ecstatic to continue the spooky adventure! Even added a few hand-drawn sigils of my own witch power (please excuse my poor skills; still learning) to hopefully help in their journey~
It's been months since Anna's ghost opened a door to Hell, but Cas can't move on. He knows Anna sacrificed herself so Cas could live-not walk around half dead. Now he sees Anna everywhere: sleep, waking nightmares. But something's wrong.Anna's being tortured. She saved Case more than once, and it's time for him to return the favor.
A little lighter on the ghost hunting and a little heavier on the hero's journey. New characters fit in nicely 3.5/5
#LittensDressedInBlood Today's prompt is A Nightmare on Elm Street
There's so many ways to go with this prompt- from thrillers set on seemingly innocent streets in Normal Town, USA, to books about night terrors, or even The Nightmare on Elm Street books (which exist, because I use to own an omnibus of them), but I chose to focus on Nightmare and use the follow up to Anna Dressed in Blood. ;)

⭐⭐⭐ Sadly, I didn't enjoy this book the way I did the first of the series. I think it's because I audio-read it and the narrator was horrible imo. Maybe I'll pick it up again one day and read my ebook copy. Sigh 😔

3✨ I was reading this fast to finish it before July was over. It had a lot of the teenage drama throughout. There was action and a deeper truth being sought. I think it ended this short series well.
This book was engaging and kept me up late reading. Blake‘s writing draws you in and keeps you in the story‘s grasp. Good ghost scenes and action. Not as haunting as the first, but a good sequel.
Not only do I accidentally buy myself duplicates of books, today I realized that I asked for the tagged book on all my halloween swap wish lists. #Doh!
For any of my stalkers, if you haven‘t bought it for me, you probably don‘t need to. 🤦🏼♀️

I think I find the main character a little too ridiculous to have enjoyed this book. Good supernatural/spook series for teens though.
11 points for fitting #teamslaughter mystery/thriller theme. @Clwojick #scarathlon
Although I enjoyed Anna Dressed in Blood more, this is still a solid continuation of the story.
We learn more about our resident ghost hunter, Cas, and more importantly about his dad and some secrets he never wanted Cas to find out.
Like the first, this one still had some great pop culture references.

Day 17: Bloody. So if anything was bloody was this book or the first one of these series :) I loved them both

I loved it. I was surprised how dark it was (for a YA) but it was so great and really sweet at parts :)

For some reason Libby is being silly, but started this one on the way home from work today :)

This was even better than the first book. The writer has managed to give the story a satisfactory ending, which I was much skeptical about. The only thing that irked me was that Cas seemed so off about everything, even freezing during important moments. New character added is also completely justified and does not feel forced. Overall a good read.
Almost a pick! The beginning was meh, the middle was draggy but the end was satisfying enough that I didn't want to stop reading the last 50 pages and was happy when it ended. Ultimately I'm glad I finished out this duology since the first book was stellar but I'm also glad to be finished with Cas and Anna and move on from the angst and sarcastic quips. #Booked2019 Night Oriented Title

This is the sequel to Anna Dressed in blood, Cas can‘t move on after Anna sacrificed so that he and his friends can live. He keeps seeing Anna showing up in pain so he decides to find a way to where she is being held.
This story took some twist I was t expecting but was pleasantly surprised. The only thing that was annoying was Cas spent a lot of time in this story doing stupid stuff or “freezing” in really important moments.
⭐️⭐️⭐️
Did some audio cooking today. Haven't listened to an audiobook in a long time so this took me a little bit to get used to. I don't particularly love the narrator but I like the story and luckily I read the first book and enjoyed it. #CooksOfLitsy #AudioCooking #Audiobook

Can a narrator make or break a book for you?
I‘m making Posole in the slow cooker for the first time. Here‘s to hoping it turns out good🤞🏼.
Also hoping to read a good chunk of this book today.

@MinDea have you got your copy yet?
The first time I read Anna Dressed in Blood I did not expect much of it's sequel (this time I was really excited though).
Still I got a lot more than I expected. This was a satisfying end I really did not know I needed. Lots of love for this series. ❤❤❤❤❤
This was a great book in the second part of this series. It was scary and fun and exciting. I really like the characters and the fact that the author kept them and developed them in the next book. I found it to be a really interesting addition in these books!
Saving this baby for tomorrow 😍

This wasn‘t as #unputdownable as the first book, but still really good. I feel like this one had more of a Buffy feel than a Supernatural feel. Cas (Buffy) is a ghost hunter rather than a slayer, but Thomas (Willow), Carmel (Xander/Cordelia), Gideon (Giles), and Jestine (Faith) really remind me of Buffy‘s gang. I wish this was a series and not just a duology. #screamathon
I‘m a few days late with my mid-month check in. #screamathon
1. I have read less than I thought I would so far. I have been moving furniture around and shampooing carpets and haven‘t been reading before bed. 😴 I should be done today though.
2. I would add The Bloody Chamber, tagged below.
3. I don‘t have a lot of Halloween decorations so I give you vampire Mr. Potato Head and my current reads.
4. On my way
OMG!This sequel is the jam!I liked the idea of Cas being love sick,Carmel being the highschool queen she is and of course Thomas-the best witch in Canada. The end of this duology.

YESSSSS! If you like YA Horror then yes!! A great follow up to Anna Dressed in Blood! I am now a HUGE Kendare Blake fan after these! Loved loved loved and I fell a bit more in love with Cas!
"I've sort of been slacking off in my voodoo studies.I've trigonometry, you know?" - Thomas
Oh, Thomas, how I love you! ? Again, I hated the narrator, but the story was fantastic! Even better than the first! A twisty turny plot, fantastic characters, and plenty of badassery to be had! What's not to love! I will definitely be buying the hard copies to add to my shelves!
I'm spending my Sunday catching up on library books. This is first up...
This one is on my TBR for this year. I really enjoyed the first book, Anna Dressed In Blood. #girlinthetitle #readjanuary
This book was scary, but not scarier than waiting 2 more hours to be pulled for jury duty with no book!
Great sequel to the first one. Loved the characters, loved the plot. Characters were also very well written. Mood and atmosphere of the story also fit the plot extremely well. It's highly recommended you read Anna Dressed in Blood for background information. Hope there will be more of Cas!!!
A satisfying end to the series. Nothing mind blowing but still enjoyable.
"She's death itself, gruesome and senseless, and even when she's dressed in blood and veins I can't help but stare."
These were a dark and action packed. Kendare Blake makes you fall in love with the dead. ?
It's starts off slow and I was concerned that it was the "sophomore slump" that authors could have with their second book. Blake tries to redeem the plot and introduces compelling twists but then it ends, giving a "better safe than sorry" vibe to protect against rambling at the end of the story. Despite some bumps, I'm looking forward to Blake's upcoming September release.
