A series so nice, I had to buy it thrice! The new paperback editions come with exclusive short stories, and with the movie coming out this year it was the perfect excuse to buy a new set for re-reading...or just ogling 😏

The best worst thing about finishing a book? Trying to decide what to read next!
This book 😍 All the pictures i‘ve seen truly don‘t do it justice! I‘m so glad I held out long enough for my local Target to stock the special editions.
When John Green describes the exact car your family used to have 😂
I only have ~50 pages left and I am genuinely scared of what‘s going to happen 😥
Couldn‘t resist a bit of birthday book shopping 🙈
My first audiobook AND my first full-length King novel...the hype is too real for the movie, but I have no time to see it, and definitely no time to read a print copy; i'm still really interested in the story, so I thought this would be the next best option!
Some series you love so much, you have to have both hardcover AND paperback copies....come January, i'll have THREE sets of this series because they'll be reissued with new covers and exclusive short stories 🙈
1. The Mortal Instruments, Court of Thorns and Roses series
2. Mara Dyer trilogy
3. The love SQUARE in the Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo
4. Adult books 😶
5. Celaena Sardothien from Throne of Glass
6. Cassandra Clare, Marie Lu
7. Childhood best friend has had a secret lifelong crush on main character and they end up together 😒🙄😒🙄
8. Game of Thrones, anything Shadowhunters
9 Catching Fire, Perks of Being a Wallflower

July's kind of ambitious TBR. I'm already reading the Winner's Kiss (and loving it), while I made a last-minute decision to re-read Twilight for the first time in 10 years.
Can't believe i've never shared a #shelfie here before! You can probably tell what my favorite genre is...This is my one and only bookcase but it's 65% of my collection, all the rest are in piles around the room or in my closet ? At this point, my organization technique is "stick them where they fit," hence some series scattered in odd places.
4/5 -- This book, wow. I have wanted to read this since it was announced solely because of the ace rep, which did not disappoint. Although I know how important diversity and representation is, it didn't really hit home until I was finally able to read a character whose experiences fall so in line with my own. And gosh, what an amazing feeling it is. I'm going to hold this one close to my heart for a long, long time 💜🖤💜
4/5: I didn't "get" this book at first, but for some reason couldn't put it down--the mystery was too intriguing! There were some slow bits but that's ok because they balanced out the action. I loved Mariko the more I read, and I loved how unpredictable this book was--a refreshing change in the YA I read. This was my first Renee Ahdieh book, and while it wasn't great enough to warrant checking out her other series, the writing was SO beautiful.
3.75/5. This was my first Becky Albertalli book and it did not disappoint! Her writing style is so easy and fun and sassy, exactly what I look for in YA contemporary. PLUS! Representation EVERYWHERE. Major points for that. The pacing of this book did feel off to me, however, which is why I had to take my rating down a bit. I'm definitely interested in reading Simon Vs. after this!
I'm calling it....I stopped reading this because I couldn't get into it, and in all honesty I'm much happier for it. Perhaps i'll come back to this one day to at least finish it, but after all the mixed reviews surrounding the third book, I have no inclination to keep going at this moment. I never DNF books, so that says something about my personal enjoyment of this book 😕
I'm in the middle of binge-reading this last installment of Lara Jean's story, but I needed a quick snack break! These books always make me crave cookies 🍪
oh noooo I relate to this way too much 🙁
Holy HELL, what a ride. Took me a bit to get back into the world but once I did I could not put this book down. I am so impressed by the span of this story, the twists and turns and complexity of it all. Hands-down my favorite aspect about this book (and the whole series, lbr) is the fact that it is wholly unpredictable. You never know where Brown is going to take the story when you strap in. I cannot recommend this series enough. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Also my #currentread; I forgot how detailed Brown's writing and worldbuilding is! One of the best trilogies i've read in awhile.
⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5 | Yeah, so when I said I was liking the book more than the other two in the series? Not the case anymore. The second half took a turn for me, I didn't like how Isla's personality seemed to suddenly change, along with the fact that the relationship development didn't feel believable to me. The end just felt too disjointed.
I haven't given up on ACOMAF yet...just taking a little break. About halfway through this one and I'm surprisingly loving it. I wasn't big on the first two books but this one has the elements I did like, plus a somehow more swoonworthy romance than either of the first two books. I've been on such a contemporary kick lately that i'm struggling to finish any fantasy books 😥
I'm starting to realize that, after having read 6 1/2 SJM books...I don't actually like her books. I'm actually struggling to get through ACOMAF; I just don't understand the hype. Granted, i'm only halfway done so it could get better but it just feels like a generic fantasy novel to me. I feel like i'm alone in my opinion because all I see are glowing reviews 😕
⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5 My rating may change because I only finished this a few hours ago and my thoughts are very scattered. On one hand, this book was such a SLOW burn; on the other, the last 100 pages were SO GOOD. Need to sleep on this a bit 😰
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5. Yes, this book touches on topical subjects, but the best part is how they're threaded into the story seamlessly. Starr felt like such an organic and authentic character that it's almost hard to believe Angie Thomas is a debut author. I know this one is going to stick with me for a long while.
...and the books I have read so far/am currently reading/and want to read in March!
I kinda, sorta, totally forgot about Litsy for a bit and didn't finish the February photo challenge 😥 But i'm back now, so excuse me while I do some review catch-up! Here are the books I finished in February...
#FeistyFeb day 4: changed your mind about. Definitely the Twilight series. I loved these books in middle school, but in hindsight I know they have a lot of problems. I still appreciate them as my "gateway" into YA fiction though!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5. Ahhh, sinking back into this world and these characters was like a big hug or a warm bath. I didn't realize how much I missed this series until I started reading. Some of the characters felt a little out of character, but I loves Iko's narration and how she finally gets her own story. My only woe: I read it in one day and now I have to wait an ENTIRE YEAR to read the next one 😥
#feistyfeb #mostreread I actually don't re-read a lot of books, so I went with my favorites that I know I HAVE re-read. The Hunger Games and The Darkest Minds twice each, and Cut ~7 times throughout middle and high school.
A couple on-the-nose picks, and a couple that involve some type of 'shadow' for #feistyfeb day 2!
I'm making it a goal for the rest of the year to get more involved in books+reading, which is why i'm attempting #feistyfeb. My tbr is small because i'm a slow reader and it's a short month 😅
Taking a break from Truthwitch to binge read this. It's been a while since I read the Lunar Chronicles, and I forgot how much I love these characters ;--;
#BookHaul that i've been looking forward to for awhile! Two brand-new releases and two books with women's issues at their centers. Thinking I might have to do this more often 😜
Next up! I started this ~6 months ago, got 80 pages in, wasn't feeling it and put it down. Now that the Windwitch hype is real, i'm ready to finish what I started. My only regret: I stopped in the MIDDLE of a chapter and I may have to re-read some...
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5 An unflinching look at the aftermath of sexual assault--this book didn't shy away from anything. This was really a survivor's story, and as such wasn't overly maudlin or tragic. Hermione's voice was very clear and true; there was so much more to her story than just rape, something the book did a very good job in proving.
57 pages in and I have to put this down because I can't stand the writing style 😩 Perhaps i'm just not in the mood/have the patience for blatantly teen voice right now. I do want to finish this sometime but right now...really not feeling it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5. This book was much better than the first, mostly because (as Bracken has stated) there was a LOT less emphasis on romance and more focus on other relationships. What was missing from Passenger was present in this book, and that was more action and secondary characters. I do feel as though some plot elements felt rushed in their development, but I think that's only because the series is a duology so some things needed to be hurried.
I don't think i've ever mentioned it here but Alex Bracken is hands down my favorite author, and I'm thrilled to have her newest book on hand! While I admit I actually wasn't a big fan of Passenger (too much romance, not enough story), i'm excited to dive into Wayfarer because Bracken has said there's a lot less emphasis on the romance in this book. All that aside, these books are BEAUTIFUL and welcome eye candy to my shelf 😉
⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5 First read of the year!! This book was like Black Mirror plus alternate universes plus hints of fantasy and sci-fi, which sounds appealing but there was SO MUCH instalove in every story. I was also really underwhelmed by the ending, where I expected everything to get tied up but I still have so many questions. Overall, this book was entertaining but it seemed to have a case of identity crisis.
One more of this gorgeous book because it's my first Barnes & Noble collectible and it's so extravagant and nice. The pages are SILVER EDGED and it smells so good 😭
Exercised some extreme self control with my after-Christmas book shopping and picked these two beauties! I've heard some really encouraging things about Scythe, i'm excited to get to it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️/5. I had some problems with this book, mainly that my expectations didn't line up with what i'd heard in regards to a certain character I know becomes more prominent in the second book. Diving into the second one now, hoping my opinion is radically changed because all I've heard is that book 2 is so much better than the first.
Ever find an author whose every work you love? V.E. Schwab is like my soulmate but in author form. Six books and counting and I haven't found one I don't like yet--she just writes what I want to read about, and does so masterfully.
