Hey guys! My husband and I are making a trip to Charlotte, North Carolina at the end of August. Any suggestions on breweries, wineries, restaurants, fun things to do? Any great bookstores? We're definitely hitting up a lot of NASCAR stuff so I think we're covered there 😁Thanks!!

the-flashley Amelie's in NoDa. Their desserts are the BOMB. NoDa (North Davidson) is just a cool place in general, and good for breweries and drinks. Hot Taco has really good Mexican food and about a thousand different kinds of tequila, Mac's Speed Shop has fantastic barbecue. If you like roller coasters, then I would definitely check out Carowinds. There's also Concord Mills Mall. I don't really see the appeal in it, but people come specifically to go to it 7y

the-flashley But if you don't do anything else, GO TO AMELIE'S. If you like dessert or coffee, you won't regret it. 7y

Aims42 @The-Flashley oh my gosh, THANK YOU!! I'm adding all your suggestions to my list!! We're staying in the NoDa area at an Airbnb (our first one ever 😬) we are definitely hitting up Amelie's... maybe even daily 😆 ❤️☕️ 7y

the-flashley I would definitely go as often as possible. Lol it's quirky and can be crowded at night, but so worth the wait. NoDa is a cool area. It used to be questionable, but it's improved a TON in the past several years. Now it's where all the hip people go to hang out. 😂 7y

DGRachel @Laura317 Don't get me wrong - mid70s is my idea of PERFECT weather, but I expected this when I lived in FL, not here in NC. I dread what this means for summer - triple digit heat and no sea breeze, most likely. I'll be homesick for sure. 7y

8little_paws It's mid 50s in Chicago and supposed to get up to 60s by next weekend. Normally this time of year we have at least a foot of snow 7y
