Here‘s my #readyourkindle picks for this month. I forgot to fill out the graphic I made last month with my picks that I ended up reading. I don‘t know if I‘ll be in the mood to read anything on KU. I know KU has Christmas books but I‘m not in the mood for those. I‘m going to look on KU and see if they have any books set during Winter. I‘m sure they do. I‘ve just never looked on there for any.

Here‘s my December #readyourkindle list. I‘m continuing on with mood reading this month since it worked out so well for me in November and I‘m still not in the right headspace to tackle Netgalley books since my dog passed away on October 25. I didn‘t have a good day today but at least the weather was nice. I went for a walk to the park and took my dog‘s collar with me and then I started crying when I got back home.

CBee I understand how you feel and think it‘s great that you‘re reading for self care ♥️ So very sorry about your dog, it‘s the worst thing ever 😢 3w

Here‘s my #readyourkindle list for November. I‘m going to be mood reading and using Kindle Unlimited this month. I didn‘t read any of my Kindle books last month. I had 67 books on my Oct TBR last month and then on Oct 25, my dog passed away and I decided to just mood read for the rest of the month. My TBR will not be as ambitious as it was last month. I‘m looking forward to just taking it easy with my reading this month.

I‘m charging up my Kindle tonight so I can take it to the dentist tomorrow. I want to have some options so I downloaded some books. My appointment is at 11:30 AM and my mom‘s appointment is at 3 PM. I‘m taking an Uber over there because my mom will be at work so she won‘t be able to take me and my brother and sister in law are on a cruise so my brother can‘t take me this time. I‘ve never taken an Uber before.

I just saw this announcement from Amazon today for a new Kindle that‘s coming out this month on October 30. I have a regular Kindle that I can no longer turn on. I tried charging it up and nothing happened. I also have a Kindle Paperwhite I haven‘t used in a while but it still works. I don‘t know if I want another Kindle. I like my Paperwhite. The books are in black & white on there but it never bothered me. I‘m used to it.

willaful I see no need for color on my ereader. The less distracting the better. 2mo
AnishaInkspill me, I'm alsonot going for this one, and stick withthe ones I have.

re the probs on your Kindle, when you look at your screen is there a battery synbol with an exclamation mark? If not that means the battery is dead and unfortunately there is no way to replace it, but it's good you have another device.

For my #readyourkindle picks, this is what the numbers chose for me but I won‘t be reading them because I‘ll be reading ebooks from Netgalley. Maybe next month when making my list, I‘ll just put the ebooks from Netgalley that I have to read instead of my Kindle books because I‘ve only been in the mood to read Netgalley books and I think I‘ll be more successful at completing my list if I do that.

Here‘s my #readyourkindle list for October. It‘s the same list because I haven‘t been reading from my Kindle. I‘ve been reading ebooks but they‘ve been from Netgalley so I‘m not reading what I own. Maybe I‘ll get around to reading my Kindle again if I can stop reading ebooks from Netgalley.

I‘m sharing my #readyourkindle list for August. It‘s the same list as last month because I didn‘t read anything from it. I fell into a funk last month after Hurricane Beryl happened and I don‘t feel like I‘m out of it yet but if I start feeling better this month, maybe I‘ll read my Kindle.

blurb

I was so excited about reading these books as my picks for #readyourkindle this month but now, I‘m in a funk and I don‘t feel like reading them. Maybe when I‘m not in a funk, I‘ll read them.

Here‘s my progress on #readyourkindle. I didn‘t read anything from this list. I started off July strong. I was feeling really good about my reading and then Hurricane Beryl hit me here in SE TX and it put me in a funk and my reading slowed down. It didn‘t help that I didn‘t have power for 5 days or internet for 2 weeks and it was the day before my birthday too. Couldn‘t the hurricane have waited until after my birthday to make landfall? 😩

kelli7990 (Continued in comments) I‘m thinking that for #readyourkindle next month, I will probably just keep the same list but I probably won‘t read my Kindle at all since I‘m in a funk right now. Maybe when I feel better, I‘ll start reading my Kindle again. 5mo

I‘m so glad the numbers were drawn for #readyourkindle because I needed something to take my mind off of worrying about a hurricane hitting me here in TX. I woke up with my heart beating really fast. Anyway, #4 is a Christian book. #9 is a romance between a CEO and an employee. #16 is a dark romance. #18 is an erotic story with a professor in it. I don‘t know if it has romance in it or not. I don‘t know if I‘ll read these this month.

Here‘s my #readyourkindle list for July. I chose some new books but I also carried over some books I didn‘t get around to reading. I had a mood read on this list before but that didn‘t work out so well for me so I made it a Kindle Unlimited prompt instead. I‘m sure I can find something to read on there but I also feel like I have a hard time deciding what to read from there sometimes because there‘s so many books to choose from.

Here‘s what my Kindle looks like now. It‘s still organized the same way but the only difference is that I‘ve been deleting ebooks. I still have more to do but having Kindle Unlimited will help me to continue series if I read the first book and I like it enough to continue reading it. I‘m hoping that deleting ebooks will make my Kindle TBR more manageable.

Here‘s my progress on my #readyourkindle list. This list didn‘t work out that well for me this month. I changed my mind about a few books on this list this month but the ones I‘ve changed my mind about reading will not be carried over to next month. Either way, I get to choose some new books to read and this motivated me to delete some books off of my Kindle that I don‘t want to read anymore.

For my #weeklyfavorites, I‘m sharing this ebook by Mika Jolie called Online Dating. This book is not in the Litsy database and it‘s no longer available on Amazon. It took me less than an hour to read it. This one was fun. It‘s a romcom about online dating. I found it funny that the woman in this book had to deal with grass clippings outside of her house and smelly trash.

Last night, I decided that I‘m going to delete ebooks that are the first book in a series if the books in the series are not available to read on Kindle Unlimited. If I like the first book in a series then I want to read the other books in the series through Kindle Unlimited. I don‘t want to buy books so I can continue a book series because I can‘t afford to do that every time I start a series.

KateReadsYA That's a great idea. I'm notorious for buying multiple books in a series and only reading the first book and then not wanting to continue 🤦🏼‍♀️ this year I have stopped doing that! 6mo

Here‘s my progress on my #readyourkindle list. The highlighted books are what I‘ve read. I read other books to replace book #4 and book #6 because I didn‘t want to read those. The Rebecca Elyon books are part of a series. I don‘t want to start another series. I thought both of them were standalone stories. I don‘t want to read the Stephanie Hunt book because it has more than 1 story in it and I thought I was getting 1 story.

Here‘s my review for a book I finished reading last night. It‘s not in the Litsy database. This will count for a free space spot on my #bookspinbingo board and I‘m going to count this for #readyourkindle because it‘s replacing the book Going Deep by Kylie Parker on my list. The Kylie Parker book is the first book in a series but it‘s no longer available on Amazon so I‘m going to delete the Kylie Parker book off of my Kindle.

Here‘s my #readyourkindle for May. It‘s the same list as usual but the 8th,9th and 10th spots were books in a trilogy and I read the trilogy so numbers 8,9, and 10 on my list are going to be Kindle Unlimited prompts. I pay for Kindle Unlimited every month but I don‘t use it that much. I have 2 trilogies left to read on this list. This has helped me finish series I‘ve started.

Today, I‘m sharing my 4 picks for #readyourkindle. #16 is the second book in a trilogy. #2 is the first book in a trilogy. #6 is the second book in a trilogy and #12 is a standalone book. It‘s a forbidden romance between a professor and a student. I‘ll probably start with #2 so I can continue with the series and finish it and then read the forbidden romance. I don‘t know if I‘ll finish the other 2 trilogies but if I can, I would like to.

Today, I‘m sharing how I organized my Kindle. It took me forever. I organized it by genre. I think I finally have it organized the way I want it. The only categories that are not genres are: Online Articles, StoryGraph Giveaway wins, Goodreads Giveaway wins, Unavailable on Amazon, Amazon First Reads, Miscellaneous, Did Not Finish and Books I‘ve Read. However, I‘m still trying to decide what books I want to delete from my Kindle next.

Today, I‘m sharing how many ebooks and audiobooks I own. I looked because I wanted to see. I‘m glad Amazon counted the ebooks and audiobooks I own. I‘m not surprised that the amount of ebooks is higher. I made a collection on my Kindle app with books that I‘ve read but I‘m thinking about deleting ebooks I‘ve read that I‘m not going to reread.

Ebooks - 5,928
Audiobooks - 329

I‘ve made a lot of progress going through my uncollected books on my Kindle. I‘m probably going to be working on this all summer. I had over 1,000 uncollected books and then I shrunk that number to 915. Now, it‘s down to 600. 197 ebooks I downloaded are no longer available on Amazon and I don‘t know why. I don‘t know whether to delete them or not. I can still read them but I won‘t read them if they‘re the first book in a series.

I just saw this template on Instagram and I wanted to join in so this is what‘s on my Kindle. I have a lot of random books. I‘m still organizing my Kindle library. I‘m sharing books on my Kindle that are no longer available on Amazon and an error message I got when I tried to look up details for one of the ebooks. This is disappointing. I have 395 books on this shelf and I probably have more that need to be added. I‘m going to look these up on Goodreads. If they are the first book in a series then I‘ll delete them off my Kindle because I won‘t be able to continue with those books that are part of a series.

I was deleting ebooks off of my Kindle app that I don‘t want to read and I noticed that there‘s an option to permanently delete an ebook. Now that I know about this, I don‘t have to sign in to my Amazon account on a web browser and delete my ebooks from there like I was doing. I was looking through my ebooks and I was thinking to myself,”I don‘t remember downloading these ebooks. Why did I download these? Do I even want to read these books?”

IndoorDame The Paperwhite is the easiest on my eyes and, I think, still the lightest option, so it‘s definitely my favorite. But I do own an iPad and it‘s super important to me to have some kind of tablet for graphic novels and picture books, so if those are something you read and you don‘t have a work tablet at home, I‘d probably choose the Fire. 2y
