One word: disappointing. This is Pendergast lite. I‘m not sure where we go from here, but I‘m definitely continuing with the series. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book started a bit slow. Pendergast is presumed dead after the events of the last book. Constance is kidnapped by Diogenes, and Proctor goes after her. Once we get back to Pendergast, the story picks up. We find out how he survived, and then he goes after Constance. This book is more an ode to the Pendergast family back story. The elixir that prolonged Constance's life comes into play, as they try to recreate the formula.

Book #16 in the agent Pendergast series. This one was a great follow up to the previous and really takes the reader to some far flung places. You‘re left until the end to figure out how things turn out...and then left wondering if that really is the end.

After a longggggggg week at work and an put of town wedding this weekend, I really needed to decompress (plus I actually managed to walk into a door frame at 4am and have a lump on my forehead).
So, after I drove home, I went to see The Predator (in the theater there were 10 men and me). Then I went across the parking lot to B&N and got two bargain books and a piece of cheesecake. Now I am home relaxing. I needed this.

Just finished and I neeeed more! This book was so good. Can‘t wait to read the next in the series.

Preston & Child's Pendergast novels never disappoint. Always full of intrigue and adventure. Really enjoyed this one, the 16th in the series.

This is a big Favorite series of mine, and 2/3s in, it has not disappointed! Pendergast forever!
