pickFinally finished for virtual foodie book club. A like not a love in terms of story & MC but it gets a pick for the food/chocolate mentions. A combo of historical fiction, time travel & romance as Diego moves through time & continent impacting the evolution of chocolate. Some of his brushes with historical characters were a bit much but it did inspire me to make Ina's Chocolate-Orange Mousse which was all kinds of good.😋Link to review/recipe👇🏻

It's still (Hawaii) cold & damp out & I had my last bowl of leftover potato soup for dinner & read some more of the tagged book for bookclub & now I'm in pjs watching I, Tonya with popcorn & a blanket on the couch & my favorite boy🐱sleeping across from me. #MarchMunchies #ChocMints 🍫🌱 I was actually craving Junior Mints after seeing the 'choc mints' prompt but the grocery store only had mini York Peppermint Patties so I settled. 😋(Shhh...don't tell my virtual blogging foodie book club but I am having a bit of trouble getting into this book & I keep putting it down & reading other books. I'm not that far in & I keep hoping it will click for me soon!) 😬
🐱Max says that he understands that his mom needs to (finally) get started reading this book for her virtual foodie book club since the deadline is the end of this month, but he needs a good scritching & the Kindle works pretty well for that. 😹 #catsoflitsy 😽❤️
I intended to keep my cold germy self at home today but then I remembered it was a holiday weekend & my library that is normally closed on Fridays would be open today & closed the rest of the weekend & my hold on the tagged book (for virtual foodie bookclub) was in. So I ran in to grab it & the other two books jumped in my hands. Then I stopped by the store & 'discovered' some chocolate--this package of peanut butter M & M Easter eggs. 😋😆
