Read the fifth book in the New York Times bestselling The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series, perfect for fans of The Maze Runner and Percy Jackson and the Olympians. The twins of prophecy have been divided--the end has begun. Alcatraz: Although their ally Dr. John Dee has been declared utlaga, Machiavelli and Billy the Kid will follow the plans the Elders have laid before them: they will loose the monsters of Alcatraz on the city of San Francisco, thereby triggering the end of the humani race. Danu Talis: The Shadowrealm that Scatty and Joan of Arc have entered is far more dangerous than they could ever have imagined. And they haven't landed here by chance--the warriors were called for a reason. So were Saint-Germain, Palamedes, and Shakespeare. The group was summoned because they must travel back in time to Danu Talis and destroy it. For the island of Danu Talis, known in humani myth as the lost city of Atlantis, must fall if the modern world is to exist. San Francisco: The end is finally near. Josh Newman has chosen a side, and he will not stand with his sister, Slophie, or the Alchemyst, Nicholas Flamel. He will fight alongside Dee and the mysterious Virginia Dare. Unless Sophie can find her twin before the battle begins, all is lost--forever. Blech. I‘m just not enjoying this series, it started strong but has veered into a realm that doesn‘t do it for me. But with only one book left, I have to finish!

Book 11/14 for #14books14weeks2023 (better late than never!)

Balibee146 I agree this series went off the boil but think the last book had some good points. Writer constantly decaribes people faces as "all angles" or something like that too if I recall correctly. Weirdly I have these books in the boot of my car to be donated right now. 5mo
janeycanuck @Balibee146 Oh, that‘s good to know about the last book. I‘ve been wanting to know how it ends not actually take the time to read it so this will make it easier to pick up! (edited) 5mo

My god, this last plottwist! I am completely shocked. It all makes sense, but in the same way, it never would have crossed my mind. EVER! Very nice, mr. Scott!

The rest of this book was just in the line of expectation. After 5 parts, it still hasn't become boring. I must say there are a lot of characters, and although I like the multiple perspectives, you always have to wait quite long to continue their line. But in the end it's worth it!

4/5🌟
This is the fifth book of the series and the world is in chaos again. It is up to Sophie and Josh to either save it or destroy it.
You meet many new characters foe and friends alike. With a small twist and good cliffhanger it makes for a quick-read.

Book 5 in this series…will go searching for book 6, the final book, as soon as I can. Love the mythical history told by the author at the end. I believe magic still exists!

Fiction book. Fifth in the sires. It is about a man who actually lived, his life was real but the works in this story and fiction. The series so far are a really good read for people who enjoy magic and adventure. I would recommend reading all the books in the series. His job along with his wife is to find the twins of the prophecy and save the world. In a twist of events the twins find out their family is not as ordinary as they thought.

Things are heating up for the twins of legend. Still separated and on opposite sides of this war between all the gods you have ever heard of. This story, unlike the last that was all about siblings, is all about the monsters, fabled and humans. Great story. 3/5 Stars.

So my job announced a two week quarantine starting on Monday. My phenomenal boyfriend took me to a local marvel called Ollie‘s and I picked up a mini book haul (pictured here with my current library book). Let the impromptu staycation be a positive one in these troubled times. 📚🥰🙏🏻❤️ #staycation #bookhaul #newin

LiteraryinLawrence Stay safe and enjoy those books! 4y
Scochrane26 We have Ollie‘s in my area, too. My sister loves it. 4y
aa_guer2021 @LiteraryinLititz thank you. 🙂 @Scochrane26 I thought it was a chain, but it is definitely a fascinating place. 4y

Getting better! Lots of action at the end of this novel and the writing style is either getting more descriptive or I'm getting use to it.

Nothing ends a story quite like “Hi kids! Turns out you‘ve been raised by the most evil people in this entire series. Now one of you sides with us, one of you is against us, and in the end one of you will save the world while the other destroys it. Good luck finding a therapist for dealing with that!!! Oh yeah, WELCOME HOME!!!”

Texreader 🤣🤣🤣 I forgot that was how it ended! I wasn‘t so keen on that part but I very much enjoyed the series. 6y
GingerAntics @Texreader I'm not sure if I liked it, per say. It is an interesting twist of events. All of the manipulating their "parents" did is pretty twisted. The reader isn't aware of all the behind the scenes stuff they were doing throughout the series, but I feel perfectly justified in calling them the most evil people in the whole series. 6y

As with the rest of the series, I love this book. The ending is definitely a shock. It was fun, this second time around, to see all the little hints left behind that I couldn‘t have possibly noticed the first time. The same is true of the big surprise that I know is coming in the last book. #thewarlock #secretsoftheimmortalnicholasflamel #michaelscott

Texreader Oh! A reread! I may have to do that. 6y
GingerAntics @Texreader there are so many clues to the surprises that you just can't pick up the first time around because so much else is going on. So many little details everywhere about everything that just make the stories so much richer. I highly recommend a reread. 6y

Time for the fifth in the series. I'm drawing to an end with this series...and it always makes me a little sad to know I'm about to leave behind characters I've grown to love. What series does everyone else miss reading new stories from (besides Harry Potter, 'cause, duh)?

MinDea I am half way through this book. Very interested in what is going to happen. Can't wait to get to the end of the series to find oit 7y
