@Emiller I am sorry for your loss. I am afraid I don‘t have any pets right now however here are my buns taken some years ago. Mia (top) getting out of the travelling cage after we moved to Germany and Amy enjoying a book. Two mins after this was taken she tried to have a nibble.

Sometimes reading a later book in a series first is great for me. It keeps me from finding a first book boring. This was not the case. I have a love of romances food themes, but this wasn‘t the one. I did go back and read Nuts and liked it. This is tried and tired, not a crisp addition to the series. Read Nuts and leave it at that. It did inspire me to attempt making scones (though unmentioned in the novel) and it was delicious though.

I've spent my day off on the couch under a cosy blanket, reading this much anticipated final book in Clayton's Hudson Valley series. I loved it! And, I may have gotten some of my reading mojo back! #romantsy

Another fun read from Alice Clayton. The Dirty Dancing references alone were enough to make this a pick.
