A couple of lovelies from Zinsser. (I told you it was good.) His exclamation point handslap is paining me. ☺️

I LOVE this book. If you love good writing, with a dash of snark, you will love this book.
Since beginning this book, my writing‘s improved. My tolerance for adverb and adjective overuse -- always a pet peeve -- has also gone down 10 points.
Do you like Strunk & White? You will love this book. #nonfictionnovember

#TBRtemptation post 3! A highly-praised classic on writing...well, nonfiction, lol. Whether writing about people or places, science, technology, business, sports, the arts, your memoir, Zinsser in a systematic yet narrative style lays out the fundamental principles to keep in mind always. (Added note: this was a required book for one of my college courses--it's indispensable to me.) #blameLitsy #blameMrBook 😎
Whatever dude. 🙄
This is the kind of writing advice I would have believed when I was 20. Now, I wonder... Whose taste are we talking about? 🤔

#riotgram @bookriot Here is my current collection of partially filled and brand new notebooks.
Something to keep in mind hammering away on my own work: "This is the problem of writers who set out deliberately to garnish their prose. You lose whatever it is that makes you unique. The reader will notice if you are putting on airs. Readers want the person who is talking to them to sound genuine. Therefore a fundamental rule is: be yourself."
Should I keep trying on this one? I'd like to be a more concise writer but this dude seems too be a bit too much for me... Word choice and implications matter!! #Thoughts?
Hammy-down books from friends who've taken English classes end up being some of my favorites 🤓
