Magnificent hike today in Pachaug CT State Forest, Laurel Loop Trail, under a canopy of Mountain Laurel ( State flower). 3.5 miles. We were in awe of nature‘s beautiful bounty.
Today we took a short but stunning walk in Connecticut‘s Rhododendron Sanctuary in Pachaug State Forest. After that we hiked up Mount Misery, just a short jaunt from the Sanctuary. Views from the summit. 🌄🥾🌸☀️🩹📱🎒

Spent most of the day at Rocky Neck State Park on the Long Island Sound.Swimming, sunning.Sand in my toes. 4 trains went buy which never ceases to excite my two. Memories of days like this while growing up-all 8 of us piled in the car for a day of swimming & reading on the beach.Tuna salad sandwiches, potato chips, grapes, lemonade.
