Two purrmaids at “the beach”. Ellie got inspired by this sweet little book and created a custom mermaid tail for her favorite kitty. She‘s reading the book aloud to Ami, a chapter a day.

My favorite so far is about deschooling—that‘s what we‘ll be doing for the next few weeks—learning how to function as a family and as individuals and redefining our understanding of education. 6y

TheWordJar I am excited you are back to homeschooling, if only because I enjoyed seeing the fun things you planned for your daughters! May I ask what webinars you‘ve been watching? I‘m always looking for more inspiration, especially now that my youngest is getting older and wants to be included during school time with her siblings. It can get crazy, but I like that homeschooling allows for change when necessary and can be inclusive of even the youngest. 6y

saresmoore @TheWordJar Yes! And the amount that they learn, just by being included is amazing. I watched the Start Homeschooling Summit. https://courses.fearlesshomeschool.com/start-homeschooling-summit-upgrade-bundle... It was free at the time of original broadcasting, but now it‘s only available for purchase. :/ I think you could gain a wealth of inspiration just from following the blogs of the presenters, though! 6y

TheWordJar Thank you so much for the link! Sometimes I get so caught up trying to find IRL resources (so few in our area) that I forget great things like this happen online! I‘ve run across a few of the presenters while researching Brave Writer. The self care section alone may be worth the price, but I‘ll check their blogs first! 6y

saresmoore @TheWordJar I think it‘s absolutely worth the price if you can afford the investment! They are really wonderful people to support, too. We lived in a homeschool desert before moving here. Any support/encouragement is beneficial! 6y

Tamra @Wbabdullah says ages 6-9. My daughter is 7, a good reader, but preferred me to read it to her. It has black & white illustrations throughout the chapters. We just finished this one and she loved it! Anxiously awaiting #2 to arrive. 7y
