This sweet story is about a dragon who befriends a red headed girl named Luna. They share a love of books and stories and start a bookshop on the back of the dragon. It‘s a lovely story. Sometimes it rhymes, sometimes not, but for this story that doesn‘t really matter. It works.

pickThe message is great: books can bring us together. I thought I would love this children‘s #picturebook but it‘s a little too didactic for my taste. I‘m fussy. Still calling it a pick, because, hey, the message is a good one. Also, the art is sweet. Just look at that chubby dragon and that confident girl child!

I‘m not sold on the illustrations but the text speaks to my book-loving heart and the power of stories to bring people together.
Not the best reading month quantity wise, but a great one quality wise. I loved everyone except the last one. There I have mixed feelings, I think I missed Lumiere, Mrs Potts and the rest of them more than I expected to.

Well, I must admit that I have had better readathons, but sometimes life gets in the way. So, overall, happy about the amount I actually did read for #24in48. An added bonus is that two of the books qualifies for the #MountTBRchallenge. Book 2 and 3 were bought in September

pickI don‘t normally buy children‘s books, but every review I read raved about it, and it has bookshop in the title, so I ordered a copy. The reviews are right. This book is an absolute delight, beautifully written and illustrated. I am very glad I ordered a copy and it is a definite keeper.
Why yes, I am a childless 31 year old woman who is sitting herself down to read herself a picture book about a dragon who likes books. I see nothing awry with this.
I did offer to read it outloud to my roommate, but he is watching hockey.
pickThis just came out in the states yesterday and I knew I had to have it. It's a sweet little story if a dragon who just wants to share his favorite stories with the world. It isn't until he meets a fearless, redheaded reader that he is finally able to get his wish. It's adorable, beautifully illustrated, and I love the cover. I can't wait to share this with the little readers in my life ❤
pickLove, love, loved this. Franklin's Flying Bookshop tells of a dragon (Franklin) who loves books and reading to people but sadly people don't often love him. That is until he meets a young girl called Luna and the best bookish friendship begins... Adorable story from Jen Campbell stunningly illustrated by Katie Harnett. I've already re-read it twice, once to my beloved who also loved it.
