Kaye Thanks for answering the questions Jody. How‘d you choose Wendell ? I named mine Blue. Probably after Blue Calhoun who was a character in a Reynolds Price book titled the same. 6y

New bookish treat! I got this new skin for my Kindle because fingerprints were driving me crazy. After the anxiety of trying to get the skin on just right I am pretty happy with it even though it isn‘t quite even 💕

JoScho @Kaye thanks! I totally obsessed over it! I don‘t remember who that was. I have the Voyage. The voyage has buttons on both side for page turning as well as touch screen swiping to turn pages. The oasis is a different shape, waterproof and has an audible function. 7y

Kaye @JoScho. Would you say you read almost all the time on your kindle I mean do you use it a lot ? I‘m trying to decide. If I sink more into the bling then I need to use it more. And when you put those skins on do they get wrinkled up and hard to do ? 7y

JoScho @Kaye I pretty much only read on my kindle. Certainly i use it everyday and carry it everywhere I go. We are trying to save money and downsize so I don‘t buy many physical books and just use the library for ebooks. I am super uptight about getting them spaced evenly but I don‘t think it is that hard to put on the skin. Just line up any buttons and edges and smooth it out. Kind of like putting a screen protector on your phone screen. 7y

Kaye Where did you find it , and is the zipper on the front to open up the top more or to store something in ? Very pretty. 7y

JoScho @Kaye thanks! I got it from Amazon. Less than $10. The zipper is for extra things and the flap actually opens up to slide the kindle in. They had a few other colors including glitter purple. 7y

IT'S HERE!!!

My holiday present to myself this year is a new Kindle Voyage. So far, I really like how much lighter and thinner it is than my Paperwhite, and I'm a fan of having forward and back pagepress buttons on both sides of the device. The improved resolution and backlighting are also quite noticeable. Overall, a definite upgrade to my reading experience. 👍

I'd been on the fence about upgrading for the same reasons, but finally convinced myself by deciding to gift my Paperwhite to my boyfriend, who likes reading but often doesn't have a book on hand when he needs one. So, I'm really just doing it for generosity's sake! (Or so I've convinced myself. 😅) 7y

2BR02B @TommieMarie74 I'm still very much a fan of print books, but my reading time has definitely increased since I first got a Kindle. Just things like being able to pack one device instead of 20 pounds of books for vacation, or being able to read in low light, have been huge benefits to me. 7y

2BR02B That said, if you rarely use the Nook there's a good chance you'd rarely use the Kindle, so it might not be a worthwhile purchase for you. 7y

2BR02B @Redwritinghood I was considering the new Oasis until I read a bunch of negative reviews about the battery life. And I don't really need an Audible- compatible Kindle when I always have my phone on me. The Voyage was almost $100 cheaper, and I think it'll suit my needs just fine. 7y

Ruri_kaichou @2BR02B @Redwritinghood I have an Oasis and I love it. Although I haven't listening to audiobooks on it yet. I haven't had any issues with my battery life... Maybe people weren't taking listening to audiobooks into account? However, the Paperwhite is still an excellent service so there's no rush to upgrade. 7y
