Wow! That felt like a marathon. Would most probably put it somewhere between so so and a pick. Quite a complex story, that related to events in the past. Really felt the book was too long, and at times could have been more on topic. A fair amount of surplus detail that wasn‘t needed. This ended on a cliff hanger and a tragic end for one of the characters in this story. #NordicNoir

Still behind with #NordicNoir but starting book 6 in the Patrik Hedstrom series, a series I am enjoying. Hoping to be caught up by the end of August at the latest.

A man is missing in Fjällbacka, the police is struggling to figure out what has happened. 3 months after he disappeared, he‘s found dead under the ice. At the same time, Erica and Patrik learns that one of his friends has received threatening letters. Is there a connection between these events?

Holy Cliffhanger, Batman!

I love this series. I have a thing for Scandinavian mysteries anyway, but these are especially good. This is the sixth installment. Start with The Ice Princess if you're interested.

I thought the concept was very clever in this novel. This series was my first #NordicNoir and I continue to favor it over others. I cannot believe the ending and will not be able to wait till next month to read the next.

Christian Thydell's dream has come true: his debut novel, The Mermaid, has been published. Christian now receiving threats. One of Christian's closest friends, Magnus, goes missing. Detective Patrik Hedstrom must unravel a tangle of relationships, love triangles, and family secrets to discover what really happened to Magnus. This is a good addition to the series and a cliffhanger at the end makes me want to check out the next book right away.

Christian comes out with his debut novel, and everything turns up and down. His friend is found murdered. Christian and two of his friends receive threatening letters. No one knows anything about C's background, not even his wife. C's book gets praises, but he becomes weirder and weirder. A tough case for the police to solve. I enjoyed the book very much, but it's not my fave in the series. #NordicNoir

This one is in the middle of the series but still enjoyable especially if you like more information on the personal lives of the detectives along with the mystery.

Ich entscheide auf den ersten 20 bis 100 Seiten, ob mir ein Buch zusagt. Bei diesem Krimi ist es leider nicht so. In den ersten 20 Seiten werden soviele Charaktere mit Ortssprüngen eingeführt, dass ich niemanden mehr zuordnen konnte. Zudem gefallen mir persönlich die Charaktere nicht so. Für mich ist es nichts, anderen kann es gut gefallen.

Eine Empfehlung und ein Geschenk von meiner Mama. Ich bin gespannt. #Krimi #crime #Skandinavien

An eerie, seemingly supernatural killer is targeting a circle of old friends. This kept me guessing until the very end.

Annoying past few days. Ducked into bookshop & randomly selected a title. Plot synopsis looks intriguing. Completely broke my pseudo-moratorium on buying new books, but sometimes.... [no spoilers!]

1 of 3 stacks of books I picked up at my local libraries sidewalk sales. So many good titles! I've never read any läckberg but I keep seeing it everywhere so decided it was fate!
