Reread of one of my favorite urban fantasy/ romance authors. Strong kick butt women, more plot and character driven look elsewhere for major sex scenes.

Listening to an audiobook for the reverse @DeweysReadathon - this one is good! I'm loving the #Libby app for library audio downloads.

My first Ilona Andrews book. I liked; the sassy, competent heroine, the super literal hero, the world building, and the secondary characters. I didn't like: By the end of the book I was mentally begging for the MCs to catch a break. Betrayal after ambush after fight after betrayal. Like, dude. Also, lots of sexual tension, almost zero sex. I'll give Ilona Andrews another chance but I'll get them from the library.

I thought I might have to skip today's prompt because I couldn't think of any books that fit... but after perusing my paperback tbr shelf (yes, that is a thing I have, shut up) I found these three lovelies. 😄 #bodyofwater #maybookflowers

I listened to this on audiobook from the library and enjoyed it, though it is pretty fluffy and the misunderstood lovers thing can be tiresome. More straight up romance than other IA books, and I prefer plot with a dash of romance, less so the romance-driven.
