This book came just at the right time for me. I won‘t say much because it‘s #LMPBC but I loved it. The only thing that kept it from being perfect was the long backstories from secondary characters.

Not quite a pick for me. This was a beautiful story with an interesting premise, but I think it could have used a little more refining. It felt too disjointed to me.
This is on its way to you, @Bookwormjillk! I‘ll email you the tracking number shortly.

I got the next book today! I‘ll get started on it soon. 😄

I don‘t usually read much magical realism but I really enjoyed this book. This is only the second book I‘ve read about what happened in Lithuania in WWII and it is truly heartbreaking. I think the story suffers a bit from the non-linear timeline but overall I would definitely recommend it. Thanks for picking this for the #LMPBC @Linsy ! I‘ll have it in the mail for you @shadowspeak17 by Monday at the latest. 4⭐️
Fascinating magical realism book about a girl born in 1973 and her connection to 100 years past. You see, “Prudence Eleanor Vilkas was born with heart-shaped wings pressed accordion-style against her back. Above Us Only Sky spans the 1863 uprising against Russian Tsarist rule in Eastern Europe to the fall of the Berlin Wall and Lithuania‘s independence in 1991.” Very interesting so I knew so little of this historical period.
Let‘s see how many of these I can knock out in June. #ModernMrsDarcy.com has 30 books in their summer reading guide. I just started 2015 in my TBR backlist project. #HugoNuts are still reading The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Luckily, #ReeseWitherspoonsBookClub picked something I have already read. It looks like it‘s going to be a busy summer ☀️

This book has been through it, and I haven‘t even read it yet! 😞 #sky #coolbooks #poorbook
Enjoyed some reading time outside. Lovely day! #readathon

This is a great book for magical realism and history! It‘s a family story full of pain, but also love and hope- and plenty of Beatles lyrics throughout! I enjoyed it but the ending felt a bit abrupt to me- and it fulfilled the song lyrics book for the #POPSugarReadingChallenge2018 and was fun to #Audiocolor to!
This cover and title is simple, yet captivating. Haven't read it yet, but it's what I had on my virtual shelf for #mrbluesky #junetunz

Yeah, I totally did a bad thing at Book Outlet yesterday because of their sale. Never mind the fact I had just got an order from them... but 14 books for under $50!
Lithuanian history, family intrigue and women with wings? This book basically defines my wheelhouse. Which is why it's so unforgivable that I haven't read it yet. I blame my burgeoning #tbr (which, in turn, I blame on you amazing littens). #blameitonlitsy #setineasterneurope #photoadaynov16
A little fantastical, a little history, a lot in my wheelhouse.
My first ever attempt at #spinepoetry, with thanks to the #24in48 #readathon and to @Litsy . This poem is inspired by sun, sweat, and my desire to be at the beach.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book was beautifully written. The imagery was amazing, the story was great and the characters were so real. I loved every second of it.
This story is about a young girl who loses her actual, physical wings and ends up discovering so much more about herself when she looks into her past. It's truly beautifully written. I felt transported into her life, her loss, and finally, her hope.
Eight pages in and I'm already captivated.
