It was a mistake to listen to A Cold Legacy immediately after Her Dark Curiosity. Not only did I need a break from the story (and narration), but it was impossible to not compare the two. For example, Juliet's love life, which was so conflicted in book two, was a non-issue in book three. The trilogy wrapped up satisfactorily, but I think the original novel would have been better as a stand-alone, even though it had a lot of loose ends. ⭐⭐⭐

So sad to finally finish such a dark, gothic, gruesome, heartbreakingly beautiful series. This book really was the perfect way to end a trilogy, the atmosphere was so eerily perfect, the romance was so sweet even when put to the test, and I loved the way Juliet discovered who she was and who she wanted to be. This book was such a good spin on Frankenstein, and I really loved it. I truly loved every page of this maddeningly amazing trilogy!

Whoops, just realized this is the 3rd book in a trilogy. Good thing I didn't get but a few pages in 🙃

Third book in The Madman's Daughter Trilogy, and the second-best. All in all the trilogy is worth your time; I'm not usually into this kind of genre but it worked for me.

Really enjoyed this trilogy and rather sad it's come to an end.

My mom's 4 year old car just overheated 40 mins from home (😁) so I'm reading while waiting for the tow truck.

Time to start and finish up this trilogy....

I had a hard time with this book vs the others in the series. Maybe because I had just finished listening to a book with a fantastic ending, but I didn't feel as though this book was as good as the others.
