Re-read game is strong. Also, love that this has a full cast.

Oh my god you guys, this book is so beautiful. And I don't usually like teen romance, but I'm sitting at my desk at work listening to the audiobook like 😭😭😭😭

So ready for the most relaxing evening ever.

I am sad to say that I was pretty disappointed in this one. I *love* CL books, but this did not feel like it was written by them. The romance was secondary, and while I appreciate the setting of this book since I am an actress living in Hollywood, I felt the antics of the protaganists to be juvenile and kind of ridiculous. Amusing, sure, but I had a hard time believing they were such top dogs and their war was going unnoticed.

Audiobook
A very short listen which gives an interesting perspective on old age and life, the biggest takeaway I had for this is how I will approach writing older characters in my own future writings.

I found this book absolutely fascinating, and inspiring, to listen to. Lahiri's love affair with the Italian Language is beautiful, and makes me want to take up journaling in French.

When you get the most perfect coloring book ever that you're too afraid to actually color in it.

You know.... I feel like I learned more about Shatner than I did about Nimoy in thist story. And maybe, knowing that Shatner wrote this book, I should've known that would be the case. But I did learn some intersting things about Star Trek and these two men, and with the close of this book, I'm left wishing I could've known Leonard Nimoy personally.

DNF. it has a very weird timeline setup that was too hard to follow as I was listening at work, and honestly I doubt I'll try to go back and read or listen to it again later. Apparently a fictionalized account of the film Cannibal Holocaust. I will say though, it is beautifully written.

I liked both the readers for the book. The story itself was a pretty typical romance. A random happenstance encounter with a hot foreign Prince of a madeup country falls in lust with a woman. Decently written, went a few places I wasn't exactly expecting which was nice. If you're into romance, especially of the royal variety, its a solid read.

i started this one the other day for May the 4th day, because it was fitting. I'm such a nerd. But overall, this book was just kinda meh. Sometimes his point of relating star wars to something else got kind of lost... It was ok, but didn't really captivate me or feel like I learned anything.

You know, I really liked this book. It doesn't feel preachy or "to get my success, you MUST DO THIS!" like some self help books can be. This felt like you were sitting down with the author and asking about her approach to a creative life and writing career, and having her explain what she believes and how its worked for her. I found it very enjoyable and interesting, with some really fantastic takeaways from it.

An overall enjoyable audiobook, and i think the points being made in this book about poverty and homelessness are some that should definitely be considered before judging someone when you dont know their story.

you know, this was ok. Perhaps had i read it as a teen, i may have liked it better. it is rather juvenile and simple in the plot points and twists (although I will give credit, there was one i didn't 100% see coming). The characters are shallow, though, and their friendship feels false. I dont know if i'll be continuing the series.

I won an ARC from Christina Lauren's instagram for their newest book, Dating You Hating You! I love their other books, and I'm so excited to check this one out.
Thank you Sarah J. Maas, for taking me on this adventure.

Holy moly guys. This book.
Oops,
Forgot to post this yesterday. Haha. JUST TOO EXCITED!
I'm on chapter 35 and completely useless at work. 😑
Excuse me miss... 😑
Meh. It starts out great, explaining the ideas if fixed and growth mindset and how people with each mindset react to problems, but it ends up repetitive with no explicit advice or work you can do to change from a fixed to a growth mindset. If you pay attention you can glean some general ideas on how to change your mindset from the examples... but that's about it.

A solid follow up to the first book! I liked the added perspective in this one too. For some reason I thought this was a duology, but it's definitely a series. Can't wait for the next one!

I. Loved. This. Book.
I'm not going to lie, I went into it expecting to be entertained but maybe not necessarily come away with a story that I was so enthralled and pulled in by, but that's exactly what happened. Fiona Hardingham is one of my favorite audiobook readers and did a fantastic job, as did Steve West.

This book. It should be required reading, especially in predominantly white areas. I was listening to this while at work, and had to remind myself that I couldn't just sit and listen to this audiobook all day. So good.

Oh Christopher Lee. His voice was the perfect reader for this audiobook.

I really enjoyed this audiobook.
Wow my review skills have gone down hill. Lol. But this was an enjoyable listen, the audiobook reader David Stimson did a great job.

Littens! I've been so out of the reading loop and in a massive funk, but I'm going to get back into it. I've missed you all terribly!!
I listened to the audiobook version of this, and while I quite liked the reader... the story itself was slow paced and "meh" to me. If you like slow moving historical fiction, this is right up your alley. I did enjoy the ending, but lost interest after about the first 1/3 of the book. ⭐⭐⭐ of 5
This is the first year I'll be spending Christmas in a new city, completely alone. My parents sent me some presents and I've got them set up under the great Nick Offerman and his Yule log. Now to find my own bottle of lagavulin...... 🥃🎄🎁
My year in books (part 2) 🙌🏻 yeahhhh A Court of Mist and Fury!
My year in books (part 1), yeah... outlander totally felt like the longest book I read too. 😅
Moved to LA about a week ago, and I've been super stressed about trying to find a permanent place to live/job/just being somewhere new in general, so it's time for a green tea latte and a book to get centered and de-stress.
The magical world of Harry Potter in Hollywood! It makes me so happy to be here!!
I. Love. This. Trilogy. Seriously, it's one of my absolute favorites and i can't get enough. I think I've read this at least 5 times since it came out in 2014. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ of 5
Holy moly! I loved this book. One of the best horror novels I've read. It was creepy, and I loved the modern narrative entwined with the memories of the event that occurred.

I really loved this story. The magical Caribbean legend side of this was fantastic. The writing was good and it had a good pace. This was one of the first teen fantasy books I've read with PoC main characters and lore, and I definitely want to check out more.

Oof I did not like this one. I almost bailed at about 4 different points. The magic took way too long to be explained, the writing was subpar with little bursts of beautiful imagery, and (this could be a problem with the audiobook) I got confused with the random expansion of the cast of characters at times.

This is another one I ended up being rather disappointed with. I didn't understand what era this was supposed to deviate from, so at times the dialogue was corny and forced. Since I didn't have a specific era to attribute it to, the tone/voice of the book wasn't very good or authentic. It also felt way too long. The audiobook reader also was only good when she was not reading male voices, then it was cringeworthy.

Holy moly, this book was good! It started to drag at a few points, but I loved the scientific backdrop to the story and the idea of multiple universes. It was complicated and interesting.
