Still working toward my goal of reading all of Agatha Christie‘s books & almost done, thanks to audiobooks this year. This collection is the usual—it has great & good stories. No bad ones though. Features Poirot in the last story.

My favorite Agatha Christie read to date!
Time to rewatch the Billy Wilder movie.
I have vague memories of seeing it ages ago and recall it was excellent.
Christopher Lee performs this short tale of murder & courtroom drama with flair! The mistress character is such fun. Classic Christie. #audiobook #mystery #TeamSlaughter #Scarathalon2022 #31by31
An amazing book! I have never read any court room dramas and this was my first book in this noir! I only picked it up since it was by Agatha and I was not disappointed! Highly recommend to read this and also, to watch the 1957 movie with the same name!
Grateful for the ebooks available through the local library but I miss reading actual books. #myyearwithagatha
The old London Council chambers re purposed for a theatre production - it was perfect!
If you are going to be in London any time soon and want to catch a great play, I highly recommend Witness for the Prosecution. The play by Agatha Christie is one of her best plots, in my opinion, but this production was just awesome. I‘d read and seen it before and I still loved it. The “theater” is London‘s County Hall and we got to sit in the actual courtroom seats, making the play really come to life. Soooo good!!
A very good and kind of spooky read. Most of these stories featured supernatural elements. A woman hears the voice of her dead husband over the radio...or is someone playing a trick on an old widow? A man hears a ghostly cry of "murder!"... Or is all a set up? A man commits an impossible suicide... Or was it murder? A really good read with twists and turns and ghosts.

With book shop stamps and old handwritten addresses from Massachusetts, and Connecticut amd even France, it didnt feel right to not add my own location mark to this old book. Interesting to see where all it has been

Combining two posts just because I can.
Thank you so much @Sophoclessweetheart for the #AChristieSwapIsAnnounced goodies - I'm looking forward to reading all of them & I ❤ the magnetic Agatha (I think she may become my favourite bookmark!) I've tried some of the loose leaf tea already and it's very nice!
None of these books are #skinny, however, but that's ok as I like thick books! #SisforSeptember @CaliforniaCay

Agatha Christie is often referred to as the Queen of Crime. Yesterday we went to see her play Witness for the Prosecution in London. It was fantastic.
The Queen of Mystery indeed. These were very enjoyable short stories, so well crafted. I really liked them all except one which, though also very well written, had a protagonist I hated.
But the others were all excellent! My favourite might be Philomel Cottage. Title story also great. And the narration was wonderful.
My 1948 book for #192019challenge
Callie-cat the Whisker Queen is my lapcat reading buddy tonight. And you can just see Gus' head where he is curled up by my feet.
Starting the tagged book on audiobook because a) performed by Christopher Lee? Yes please! and b) it's the only Agatha Christie audiobook the library has without a holds list at the moment.
A suspenseful short story by the Queen of Crime. With her ingenious plot twists, the story is taut with psychological complexity. I watched the BBC adaptation thereafter (by the same people behind the BBC‘s And Then There Were None), the performances were very good and I find it satisfying.
After a massive lunch of samosas and falafel, I will check out this new adaptation of Witness for the Prosecution. Toby Jones is in all the things! 😄

2 more Christies...getting there slowly but surely. 💛
Getting excited for my library's adult story time tomorrow. Will Hercule Poirot be up to the task?
Recorded the BBC adaptation at Christmas thought I'd best get round to watching it. Love me some Christie 😆
