pickI quite like David Mitchell so I listened to the audio book of his memoir to hear it told in his own voice. Describing his childhood and rise to fame I found it interesting, insightful and of course at times very funny ⭐⭐⭐
so-soHis childhood seemed more amusing than adulthood via his memoir. But this is probably the case with anybody going into adulthood. Best if you know the Author so you can hear his voice as you read it.
Favourite audiobook for #RiotGrams because who wouldn‘t have an amazing time listening to David Mitchell (the comedian not the author) relate his life story?

David Mitchell uses the framework of his walks around the streets of London to tell the story of his life. It is as entertaining as you would expect and delightfully sweet in the chapter about his wife.
This quote really made me laugh. He was talking about the comedy/sketch writing process where the group of writers get together to work on their material.

One of the joys of having a second hand book is thinking about the mystery of who had it first. Why? And why did they discard it?

I'm generally all fiction, all the time but I had to listen to this one - I love all the panel shows that David Mitchell appears on - from Would I Lie To You, Q.I, The Big Fat Quiz of the Year, Was It Something I Said?... so this didn't feel like too big of a leap for me... #memorablememoirs #booktober
