so-soI'm a little on the fence about this book. In some aspects I liked and enjoyed it and in others I was left wondering why the author went that direction. I liked Gina's character but she's very hung up on her looks, particularly her nose, and that's stemming from a high school prank that has deeply affected her and how she perceives everyone around her. Especially men, especially a hot man she kissed that light her up.

pickGina and Ford have chemistry, but she's a member of the famous Esposito family and Ford is part of a task force to take down the Espositos. She's not a beauty, but does she deserve the name Butterface? He's gorgeous with a capital G, definitely cannot be interested in her, it must be an elaborate prank.

pickOh my god this audiobook had me laughing, out loud, so much! Normally I'd be thrilled but I was at my desk for most of this audiobook and my office mate kept on asking if was crying everytime I tried to stifle a laugh. Loved the characters, but got a little fed up with Ford at times for not telling Gina the truth. All in all a hella fun read 💕💕.
Also audio has two narrators if you are into that.

so-soA bit taken aback by how far the author leans into the whole ‘butterface‘ thing - like I GET IT! I don‘t understand that way of thinking at all but if you can put that aside - there are some sweet moments (along side some real head scratchers) with some excellent side characters who look like they get their own books.

Continuing along with my cheesy, breezy reads, this one was a deal of the day, so I‘m giving it a shot. After all, I‘ve still got a Goodreads challenge I‘m trying to finish!
