Two Can Keep a Secret
Two Can Keep a Secret | Karen McManus
Ellery's never been to Echo Ridge, but she's heard all about it. It's where her aunt went missing at age sixteen, never to return. Where a Homecoming Queen's murder five years ago made national news. And where Ellery now has to live with a grandmother she barely knows, after her failed-actress mother lands in rehab. No one knows what happened to either girl, and Ellery's family is still haunted by their loss. Malcolm grew up in the shadow of the Homecoming Queen's death. His older brother was the prime suspect and left Echo Ridge in disgrace. His mother's remarriage vaulted her and Malcolm into Echo Ridge's upper crust, but their new status grows shaky when mysterious threats around town hint that a killer plans to strike again. No one has forgotten Malcolm's brother-and nobody trusts him when he suddenly returns to town. Ellery and Malcolm both know it's hard to let go when you don't have closure. Then another girl disappears, and Ellery and Malcolm were the last people to see her alive. As they race to unravel what happened, they realize every secret has layers in Echo Ridge. The truth might be closer to home than either of them want to believe. And somebody would kill to keep it hidden.

This was a good read, althought I liked her first one better. I liked the twins in the story and other characters too. #books

Not a bad YA as YA's go, certainly one I'm sure many 13-15 year olds would enjoy. I teach this age group and therefore read these kind of texts sometimes, not literature but good enough.

This one is okay, but I don‘t think it‘s as good as ‘One of Us is Lying‘. Maybe I read too many of this type of book, but I could see the twists coming. A quick, entertaining read but a tad predictable. 3.5🌟

Had a lovely weekend away camping. Didn't get much reading time in but I did finish this. It was ok nothing special and not as good as her previous book.

⭐⭐⭐

JoyBlue Bummer! I was hoping it would be at least as good as the first. 6mo
my.books.in.squares @JoyBlue it didn't feel very original. It was pretty similar to 'The Cheerleaders' by Kara Thomas and I wasn't a huge fan of that either. You might disagree though, be sure to let me know what you think once you read it 🙂 6mo

#younevercantell a secret!

A selection of my kindle books with 'secret' in the title for #maymoviemagic! There were a lot more with the title beginning with 'secret', but I wanted a selection!

When checking categories for book genres I enjoy, I haven‘t marked YA. Maybe I should. I‘ve read or audio‘d these books in the last year and liked each one.

CoffeeNBooks One of Us is Lying was so good! I haven't read Two Can Keep a Secret yet. 9mo
marleed @CoffeeNBooks without giving a thing away here‘s my favorite line: Ezra watches them leave with a bemused expression, then turns to me. “I have a really strong feeling that on Wednesdays, they wear pink.” 9mo
GinaKButler Ohhh...you need to read Tell Me Three Things! 9mo

This was really enjoyable, but I wasn‘t as invested in the mystery as I was in the author‘s previous book. I did love the characters and the romance, overall it was still great 😁

I find this murder mystery very enjoyable and absorbing. Well-paced, twisty story and with realistic characters I can care about. The teenage relationship was sweet and did not make me roll my eyes. A strong follow up to the author‘s debut, One Of Us Is Lying (though this is not a series) in fact I liked this more, and the ending gave me a surprising gasp. I look forward to read her next book (hurry up)👍👍👍👍

I flew through this one in a couple of hours. This one, after a bit of a slow start, is just as good as her first book, One Of Us Is Lying. Twins Ellery & Ezra Corcoran move to their mother‘s hometown after she‘s put in rehab. Now living with their nana, Ellery becomes obsessed with the murders of 2 local girls, 15yrs apart. Then another girl goes missing. My #LitsyAtoZ2019 #LetterT & #Pop19 #PopSugarReadingChallenge2019 #BookToldFromMultiplePOVs

Honestly hands down the best book in my collection so far. I‘m easily pleased when it comes to murder, cover ups and romance and this book has it all. Ellery and Malcom are endgame. The only extra detail I thought wasn‘t needed was Ezra. He was the only character that didn‘t really grow on me. Great book 5/5 stars would recommend! x
